1. Ingredients

  1. 6 cups sliced peeled ripe peaches
  2. 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  3. 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  4. 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  6. 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  7. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  8. 1 cup sugar
  9. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  10. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  11. 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  12. 1 egg, beaten
  13. 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted and cooled
  14. Vanilla ice cream (optional)

2. Cooking Directions

  1. Place peaches in a greased shallow 2-1/2-qt. baking dish. Combine brown sugar, flour, lemon juice, and peel and cinnamon; sprinkle over the peaches. In a bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Stir in egg until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over the peaches. Pour butter evenly over topping. Bake at 375 degrees F for 35-40 minutes. Serve with ice cream if desired.

    mmmmmmmm i cooked this at home and believe me you it was scrumptious. my mum is diabetic and isnt really allowed it but she took seconds!(resulting to a high sugar level!)i'm only 12 but mum helped me make it. it was really nice! y'all should try it! if you dont try it you will regret it!
