Ingredients

  1. 1 cup butter flavored shortening
  2. 1 cup sugar
  3. 1 cup packed brown sugar
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. 2 cups all-purpose flour
  7. 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  8. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  9. 1 (11 ounce) package butterscotch chips
  10. 1 cup chopped pecans
  11. 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  12. 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
  13. 1/4 cup sugar
  14. 1 egg
  15. 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Cooking Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream the shortening and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine flour, oats and baking soda; gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in chips and pecans. Reserve 2 cups. Spread remaining dough into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. In a mixing bowl, combine filling ingredients. Spread evenly over crust. Crumble reserved dough over filling. Bake at 375 degrees F for 40-42 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack before cutting.
