  • Bacon and Cheese Frittata

I just loved this recipe. I made it a second time and added baking powder and baking soda and it puffed up and was even better. I think the comment about the person who got the runs must be either allergic to eggs or has dirty pans and a dirty kitchen. I just love Rachael Ray and her helpful cooking recipes.

  • Frittata ?

    sacha_bello - August 13, 2008 12:49:25 PM PST
Frittata is an old Italien recipe using left over pasta. This is a bacon and cheese omlette...... much better to use left over pasta with sauce, add eggs, cheese and onions and put into a frying pan and cook until golden one side, put a large plate on top of the pan, flip it so its on the plate then slide back into the pan to cook the other side! Try a "real" frittata, better than an omlette every time! Enjoy :)

  • We loved it!

I think it just goes to prove, to each their own! The previous poster hated it, we loved it! My nephews needed something after hockey, and I am always trying to give them something new, to expose them to new tastes. This went over very very well, and honestly, I loved the ease of preparation too. Since I first found the recipe, it's become one of our family regulars!

  • Pretty Good

I would've given it 3 stars, but I'm a cheese-lover, and the excellent use of cheese in this recipe has caused me to-bump my score up to 4 stars. The other person who reviewed it, gave it a low score based upon the fat content (etc). But this is not a health-food forum. It's all about the taste. That person seems like the type of person who would probably NOT eat a cheese-steak hoagie, because it's not healthy. Yet there are many cheese-steaks eaten in this nation (and others too) on a daily basis. Why? Because they taste good. I think anything which tastes good, such as this Bacon and Cheese Frittata, should get a good review, regardless of how healthy it is (or isn't).

You must not be from the South if this dish gave you the runs?

  • morning brekkie!

frittata . or small egg omellet. great for after u had a big night out, or a morning socialiseing with family or friends.

all realy you have to do is adjust the recipe by half less oil and find a suitable skillet to fry it in , light and thin under the salimader to crisp up the bacon and then roll it, maybe with a type of aoli sauce to accompany, it would be great!!
