This homemade breakfast sausage is easy and completely delicious.

We tried this sausage over a July weekend when relatives were visiting. It just didn't have enough punch for us, so we tried it again this past weekend with the following changes:
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon each ground Black, White and Cayenne Pepper
1-1/2 teaspoons Ground Sage
1/2 teaspoon Marjoram
The sausage patties were very tasty this way. We served them with thick buttermilk pancakes and scrambled eggs with plenty of coffee and fresh orange juice. Try it, you'll like it!
