Ok, so if you follow this recipe you got a decent burger. Not exactly rocket science...
But a "best" burger? Not by a longshot.
First off, using ground chuck will never result in the best burger possible. Ground fatty sirloin (choice angus preferably) is used in the nation\\'s top burger joints for a reason.
Worsteshire sauce is always a solid choice for beef. Dijion a decent choice as well.
But black pepper, onion/garlic powders, and perhaps your favorite hot sauce are never bad additions either.

but not \\'the best\\' by a long shot. some additions to the pattie and a browning of the bun will add a lot. and some quality condiments.

If the recipe provider doesn\\'t provide a photo with the recipe it should not be featured. Martha hardly ever sends a picture with her recipe.

Cook until desired doneness???? Almost everybody knows that it is not to eat ground beef that isn\\'t cooked thouroughly to at least 160 degrees internally. So anyone who likes their burger rare or medium on the inside is asking for trouble IF the beef happens to carry something nasty like e-coli or other things. That is why restaurants are now required to serve well done ground beef ONLY.

The best burgers I have had have been 2/3 ground sirloin and 1/3 ground pork. A little spice never hurts either (diced jalapenos, chili powder, onions). This needs a little more imagination

But seriously I wouldn\\'t even bother with this one.

I agree with some of the other comments. Chuck is not the best cut to use, and how about the amount of fat in the beef. For the tasties and most juicy burgers the experts recommend and 85% lean ratio. That is key to a good burger, and it is not even mentioned. This is a so-so recipe at best.

Using 2 pounds of ground chuck and producing 4 servings... that is and 8 oz. burger! Chuck isn\\'t that lean, so I think they must have figured for a 4 oz. burger.

I vomited so hard a lung came out. The dog wrinkled up his nose at it.
Ground sirloin, worc. sauce, soy sauce, diced onions, garlic powder, and black pepper. Top with bacon, cheddar, Thousand Is., and red onion. Rabbitt food if you are a bunny.
