  • Not good. Not good at all.

The vinegar in the Italian dressing overwhelms all the other flavors. Perhaps just marinating the chicken in the dressing would help, rather than using it to saute and as a base for the sauce. I couldn't even taste the cream cheese.

The typical pot pie recipe calling for cream of chicken soup as the sauce base is infinitely better than this mess.

  • Awful!

This has to be the worst chicken pot pie recipe I've come across EVER.

The Italian dressing has no place, and neither does the cream cheese. I prefer a simple cream/flour/chicken stock base. And homemade crust.

  • Egads!

It appears to me that the people at Kraft who make these recipes up should be forced to sit and eat this garbage. Yee-uck! I'll be making it without the dressing. Like someone else said, if I want the taste of the dressing, then I'll simply marinade the chicken meat in before using.

And for the record, I LOVE the zesty Italian dressing but in a salad not in a recipe like this!

  • Disgusting

    Paris Hilton - October 9, 2007 12:33:48 AM PST
What about oil, flour, salt, celery, onions, cumin (it's good)... add some stock, bring it to a boil to thicken... roast the frozen veggies in the oven... add to the mix, add the chicken... you can just serve it over rice or as 'biscuits and gravy' if you have biscuits. But the recipe given sounds sooo disgusting. I, Paris Hilton, can cook better than this.
