No wonder our country is so disliked around the world. Are you people really arguing on a recipe site about animal rights?? Get a life!!!!

  • Should I have it every day this week? Or better yet, for every meal?

    kivesta - April 2, 2007 04:53:35 PM PST
Humans are created to be omnivores. Ever wonder why you need to 'get your protein' elsewhere? Yeah, it's because we need protein to survive. I won't get into the whole biology aspect here, as I'm sure it would be rather wasted on you.

Take your hippy 'save-the-animals' ideals elsewhere. I wasn't planning on trying this recipe, but just for your comment, I'm going to be sure I try it several times. Have to cook that little piggy just right, now don't I?

  • Some people

    Stacy - April 2, 2007 04:51:55 PM PST
Some people can't eat grains, because of gluten allergies. And you can't get all your protien from veggies! I didn't take offense but you really should think of other people and there diets before calling names. Not everyone has the same opinion and has the right to freedom of speech but it's rude to assume everyone should eat the same.

  • Nice recipe what about the rest

    jms1651 - January 10, 2008 10:41:08 AM PST
The picture made me want to review the recipe. It looked like a good meal option. What we got was chop and pears. The stats, calories, carbs, etc. would be more helpful if they reflected the whole meal as pictured.

  • Natural Selection

Wow, never thought a simple recipe could spark so much rage. I guess it doesn't take much to entertain some people. Get a life. I don't really care who eats meat or not, you do what you do and I'll do what I do. But since I'm on top of the food chain, I'll eat what I want. Animals eat meat.

  • Ignore the Hippie...this was good.

    visioncarejenn - April 2, 2007 05:21:37 PM PST
Let me guess... you support PETA, don't you. Nice and all in theory, but do some more research. PETA (The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) helps financially support ELF (the Earth Liberation Front) a TERRORIST group who have blown up facilities that test on animals. (You get called a terrorist when you think a reasonable response to something or someone you disagree with is to blow them up.) So next time you think about writing a check to support PETA, go donate your time at an animal shelter as opposed to wasting it writing reviews to critique a pork recipe you obviously didn't try...P.S. thinking I may lightly broil the pork next time first instead of just browning it.

  • Choices

    Sarah - April 2, 2007 06:51:27 PM PST
Just because you are vegitarian it does not mean you simply are for animal rights. I and many other vegitarians are vegitarians because they are alergic to meat, or simply do not like the taste of it. There are also many simple ways to get your proteins--such as protein suppliements. But also with being a vegitarian comes lack of iron, not just proteins. There is also a bigger picture here then just missing protein. Omaga 3, fattie acids, iron et cetera.
So yes, before you just automattically cut someone down because they are a vegitarian, ask them why they are. And as long as they are not trying to force you to become a vegitarian, why would you let it bother you. You are not them, nor are you living their life.

  • Kraft Foods

    Mr. BIG - January 10, 2008 02:33:47 AM PST
Kraft Foods is a terrible company with lots of money and we know that Money doesn't just talk, it SCREAMS! There products contain Genetically Engineered Soy, Canola, Corn, and Cottonseeds. Their cheeses contain huge amounts of lactose because they are NOT aged. They are called "one day" cheeses and create lots of allergies. The preservatives they use, like benzoate of soda are dangerous when combined with ascorbic acid that most people take as vitamin C. When these two things are combined, they form BENZENE and this can even cause death if too much is consumed at once.

The so called "food experts" here giving advice need to look more closely at who they are promoting and stop being the "hired guns" of these corporations. Profit over health seems to be the motto.

Why don't you "experts" become real experts and start promoting health to the American people instead of this "same ole, same ole" garbage that is promoting diseases to the unsuspecting public that needs real answers.

Believe me, I CAN WAIT TO TRY THIS THE FIRST TIME and there should not be a SECOND TIME, ever.
