  • Not bad with the right ingredients.

If you drop the Taco Bell crap it\'s pretty good. Use real tortillas from your market and real salsa. Avoid Kraft products, they\'re fake food, no taste and no nutrition.

MMM and then spice it up with taco bell seasoning. Authentic taco bell chicken tostadas. Get cloned chicken if available. I would also recommend some textured vegetable protein, for that authentic, taco bell flavor. If this really is a popular recipe, please shoot me.

tried this recipe the other night. the taco shell gets crispy when you toast it, then when you put the salsa (tomatoes) on it gets really soggy from the juices. i would recommend not toasting the shell, and maybe some refried beans or more cheese to help hold the toppings onto it.

  • Definately Workable

I changed the ingredients. I used better tortillas I found at my market and I also used different seasoning (cuming, seasoning salt, garlic powder, pepper, red pepper, oregeno). I used regular colby cheese but only 1 C instead of two. Served with lettuce, rice and refried beans and it turned out great. Will definately make again but I think I might try with corn tortillas.

  • Switch it up

Only thing I retained from this was how long to cook the tortillas. I\'ve done without lots of the fake stuff and used fresher seasonings and ingredients and it was awesome and super quick for dinners and lunches. Change it up with different meats and veggies (I added peppers, mushrooms and onions; my favorite).
