  • A Requested Favorite!

I use this recipe for potlucks, only I use a Brownie mix instead of a cake mix. I never have any leftovers, but many requests for the recipe. It looks like you did a lot of work, but it is really easy and quick to put together. Kids and Chocoholics LOVE it!

have been making this for years but I always use a 1/4 cognac drizzeled over the cake and use mini chocolate chips with or instead of the toffee bars. My friends and family love it both ways.

  • great trifle -- but a little cherry filling makes it even better!

    Sarah - April 14, 2007 01:16:15 PM PST
I love this recipe, but I also like to include a layer of cherry pie filling. It really gives it a little something extra and breaks up the chocoloate dominance! I use two large cans of Comstock cherry pie filling and I layer it directly above the pudding layer, but below the whipped cream!

Gives it a nice "black forest" taste!

I haven't made this yet, but the recipe is so easy that even someone like me who can burn water would be able to make it. I cannot wait to try it this weekend! It's the perfect dessert for chocoholics.
