pretty easy to whip up....one thing i'd recommend is to also add guacomole as a layer.. and make sure the layer for the beans is veeeeeery thin cuz they have such a strong taste..and if ur not a big fan of salsa try not using a whole cup or just use finely chopped tomatoes.. will probably use this recipe a lot more times in the future..=)

  • Family loves this!

We use this dip all the time when looking for that last appetizer to complete a party.
I prefer to use fresh diced tomatoes over the salsa and a layer of guacomole is a must! Gives it great flavor.

try adding cream cheese spread over the refried beans or under them and also add shredded lettuce, chopped tomato and onions on top...we call it "The Platter"

  • Always a crowd pleaser

Been making this one for years, although I hadn't mixed the taco seasoning with the refried beans. Feel free to spice it up with a medium or hot salsa if your company/family likes a little kick in their dip. Quacomole is definitely a plus. Also good with your favorite tortilla chip if you don't like crackers. Get there first, it goes fast.

  • Yay for the vegetarians!

Not only does this sound delish, it's also suitable for vegetarians (not vegans of course.) I have always loved mexican dishes but it's not always easy to find ones suitable to my eating preferences. This sounds great--I'll definetely try it!
