  • YOU GOTTA TRY THESE!!!

    vicky w - December 8, 2007 05:30:17 AM PST
My 11 year old daughter and I made these cookies....they were soooooo delicious...
I always wanted to make gingerbread men, but didn\'t like the taste...
these are made with Jello-o brand instant butterscotch pudding mix.....
YUMMY (I even used the fat-free/sugar-free box)

Anyone interested in making gingerbread people should give it a try.
    Merry Christmas to all!!!

My children had been bugging me to purchase those old, hard, expensive gingerbread houses from the supermarket. This idea did not appeal to me at all. When I came accross this recipe I was happy to know that now we could make gingerbread stuff ourselves! We went shopping togather for all of our ingredients and found some molds that could make the house with at a bakery store. Now each on of my children could make their very own fresh gingerbread men and a house for their teachers at school. What a simple and inexpensive way to bring the familys togather for the Holidays!!!!! Thanks to all

So, I finally figured out why my cookies were coming out wrong and when I fixed it they were marvelous! Everyone I made them for loves them and keeps asking for the recipe. I tell them it has butterscotch pudding in them and they look at me like I\'m on crack.

  • Twisting this Recipe to Gingerbread houses

    Brittany Y - November 26, 2007 09:11:23 PM PST
Im hoping that i can make gingerbread houses with my family by using this recipe. I hope the gingerbread isnt too soft, considering the fact that we have to use jello pudding.
    Thanks for the recipe

  • the math eludes me

    Jeannie T - December 20, 2006 09:01:59 PM PST
I haven\'t made them YET, but I do not believe 2 cups of flour can make 400 cookies!!!!!

the recipe says "serves 20" and also says "Serving size: 20 cookies"

    20 times 20 is 400!!!

did you perhaps mean "serving size 2"?

Is it just me or has the entire world gone politically correct crazy? Gingerbread People? Come on...what\'s next, candy hooks instead of candy canes so as not to offend the elderly?

They would be great for a decoration on a tree, but we\'d never eat them again. Even the kids and the dog didnt like them.
