  • can anyone tell me how to find out the breakdown on the calories, fat, etc?

    de3fan62 - June 25, 2007 01:58:26 PM PST
is the calorie, fat, etc, count per serving? some of these seem outrageous high for one serving, but they also seem very low when divided by the number of servings?? thanks!

My Grama always used BROOKS ketchup. You can also add variety by adding some diced green peppers and onions!!
    Yummmmmmm!!

  • Different cooking time for turkey?

    Novice - June 19, 2007 10:49:39 AM PST
This sounds like a fantastic recipe and I\'m looking forward to trying it. If I were to substitute ground turkey for the beef, would the cooking time or temperature be different? Thanks!

  • It was different

    gvtx%40sbcglobal.net - March 13, 2007 05:34:05 AM PST
My wife loved it.. For me it was different. I did not like it too much. It was just barely ok for me. I think the stove top stuffing should be used with chicken or turkey. I would make it again ..... for my wife.

  • OMG Meatloaf!

    tig - July 25, 2007 09:26:48 AM PST
I will definatley try this recipe. If my family even decides to try it after I put it on the table is another thing. You see, I can cook, I actually love to cook. But there are two things in life I can not make. It\'s rice and MEATLOAF! The last meatloaf I made they turned into a cartoon character with straw eyes and ketchup lips. If this works I\'ll be forever in debt!! Heres to hoping!

I did not care for this whatsoever. Quick and easy yes, but quick and easy doesn\'t mean good all the time. It had minimal flavor to it and tasted like cafeteria food. Sad part is that I was looking forward to making this meatloaf and had planned on it 2 days prior to. Highly disappointed.

  • Nutrition Information

    Susan - October 31, 2007 01:22:16 PM PST
I wish you would include the amount of sodium in the nutrition section. For people with high blood pressure or fluid retention, this is a very important consideration in using new recipes!

  • Really Good, Perfect Texture

    whackamole93 - July 23, 2009 06:10:22 PM PST
This is EASY to make and was fantastic. The texture was just right, not too dry and not too greasy. I used a hamburger/ground pork mix from the grocery store. The babysitter, cat, and my daughter enjoyed it also! Definitely will make again.

  • Easy and tasted good!

    samantharoseh - July 10, 2009 11:16:40 AM PST
This recipe was very easy to prepare and cook. The few things i did different were, I used 3LBS of chop meat, used ketchup instead of BBQ sauce and i diced about a little less than half of an onion and through that in there too.
This was great and very easy. A .

  • The Easy Pleasing Meatloaf, was very good. I added my version for a kick!

    cmancinelli1 - June 21, 2009 11:41:07 AM PST
This receipe was very good and easy. I enjoyed he no fuss about it.
I always add a little extra to new recipes and this time I added the following:
1 dried bay leaf crushed as finely as possible in he palm of my hand.
    1/2 teaspoonful of nutmeg
    1/2 teaspoonful of black pepper
    1/2 teaspoonful of garlic powder
    1/2 teaspoonful of onion powder

The extra ingredients really made the recipe pop.

    ~Susakin~ - December 30, 2008 01:28:12 PM PST
I have been making this recipe but without water and eggs. Only Hamburger and Stove Top topped with ketchup. It\'s kind of neat to see somewhat of my recipe on here.

  • Nice with the stuffing mix

    January - December 1, 2008 09:27:36 AM PST
I do something similar, but I use the Herb Stuffing Mix and add rosemary. The barbecue sauce is too much, so I just go with some mild catsup.

  • Worst meatloaf ever!

    carefreebaker - November 24, 2008 09:57:10 AM PST
It is moist but has no flavor. I even added a minced onion to the mix. I cooked on foil for easy cleanup......the meatloaf burnt onto the foil, so it wasn\'t even easy. Don\'t waste 2 pounds of beef on this recipe.
    You will be disappointed.

  • Try some Different Flavors of Stuffing Mix

    Debbie C - November 6, 2008 07:03:12 AM PST
tried this recipe using the Pork flavor stuffing. I\'m anxious to try this recipe using the Savory Herb flavor, too. And I think in some regions they sell a Mushroom and Onion flavor. This recipe is so easy, and my husband loves it!

    Donna G - October 27, 2008 06:22:58 AM PST
I*t\'s easy to do and good to eat and for a comfort food you can have no better. It rates up there with chicken soup. Add mashed potatoes and veggies and your tummy is in for a treat. My 2 year old granddaughter loves it too. Its that good

  • Really good!!

    Silver - August 6, 2008 06:03:30 PM PST
I have hated meatloaf ever since I was a little girl, but this one turned out pretty good. Instead of BBQ sauce, I substituted teriyaki sauce mixed with about 3 tbsp of ketchup to thicken it. I would definitely make this again!
