You can use two different types of cholocate pudding mixes, like Devil\'s food and chocolate, and put each in sepearate. Also putting chocolate coolwhip on top. Or you can add chopped up nuts, chocolate chips, or chopped up chocolate bar into the pudding.

Oreo are my favorite anyway, but to put it with the next best thing is even better. I know what my dessert of choice will be from now on.

We loved this recipe - great for kids b-day parties too if you make it in a pyrex rectangular dish. Very yummy and easy to make!

  • Love IT.

I have made this pie before and everyone loved it. But for my own little twist I add mini oreos between the two layers of chocolate pudding. Oreo halves also work great.

  • Quick and easy

Very quick and simple recipe to make for chocolate lovers. For those of you confused about what to do with the middle of the cookie - the recipe doesn\'t say so, but you should be grinding it up WITH the cookie to act as a "glue" for the cookie crumbs. If you don\'t, you\'ll need to use butter to keep the crust together, so why not use what you\'ve already got? ;)

My biggest point to note - after you mix the pudding (the first layer) pour it into the pan IMMEDIATELY - otherwise it begins to set and you\'ll have a difficult time spreading out the pudding along the bottom without disrupting the integrity of the crust.

You can also stick this in the freezer to help set the cool whip portion a little better, particularly if you plan on traveling with this confection.

  • YUMMAY!

This is sooo good!! the only bad thing about it is every time I take it to a party, there\'s never any left over to take home :( You can also just buy an Oreo pie crust already made - I\'m not much of a cook, so I love any shortcuts I can find... lol

  • Sounds Great But...

What do you do with the filling of the 32 Oreos? It\'s just sitting there after you divide the cookies and crush them. Seems like a waste to just throw it out. Oh, wait. Nevermind.
