  1. 2 cups flour
  2. 1 tablespoon sugar
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons CALUMET Baking Powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  5. 1/4 cup cold butter or margarine
  6. 2 cups shredded CRACKER BARREL Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  7. 1 cup milk
  8. 1 egg, beaten

2. Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix dry ingredients; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheese. Add combined milk and egg; stir just until moistened.
  2. Spoon into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  3. Bake 45 minutes. Cool in pan 5 minutes; remove from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Cut into 16 slices to serve.

Yield: 16 servings
