This is a very traditional recipe just like my grandmother used to make. She had a zucchini farm and it had a few red peppers too. And was adjacent to a trout stream. This was in the old country. People who say this isn't a traditional recipe are, how shall I say, "nuts", which is what we used to call crazy people in the old country.

Get over yourself legaleagle60422 . It is like saying a traditional chocolate chip cookie is made with yadayadayada, instead of what's a mahoo. If it is kosher, who cares????????

Wow. Lots of uptight folks on here. If it were supposed to be a "traditional" recipe for latkes, wouldn't it SAY so? Guess what...it DOESN'T say it's "traditional." Anyway, it sounds yummy to me. You want traditional, go make traditional--and stop kvetching when someone adds interesting ingredients to a recipe that is otherwise a little blah.

I'm sorry, this is not traditional Channunak Latkes. Traditional Latkes are made with potatoes, salt, flower, eggs, and fried without any additional stuff added to them with the exception of apple sauce or sour cream.
