Chorizos are Spanish and therefore thats why hispanic countries obtained this, though can be different in taste and ingredients due to what is cultivated.

Gosh I'm more worried about finding the caraway seeds(never heard of them but i'm guessing its a spice) than I am the chorizo, and btw chorizo is a Mexican sausage that can be found anywhere. We(Mexicans) use it in our breakfast foods such as with eggs to give them some flavor, or it works great with just refried beans, but with shrimp??? that sounds kinda weird but i won't knock it until i try it. also i've never eaten it whole as a sausage but more as spice. And yes chorizo is getting popular with many cooks on t.v. Well This recipe sound really easy and fast since shrimps cook in no time, can't wait to try it. :)

This recipe sounds sooo simple, I am going to do it tonight! Also, Aladdin, I wasn't even looking for the Chrizo and walked right up on it at Walmart, not that big of a deal!!! I will post a comment on how it tastes later.

my hubby is a BIG fan of chorizos. he'll LOVE this dish. and for alladin, chorizos are not for the "uppity" type. you can find these sausages almost anywhere. who knows...if you let your husband/kids try it, they just may find a new favorite!

Great recipe and nice presentation. The only thing I'd change is the time to marinade the shrimp. I increased the time

Looks tasty and has a great presentation. Cant wait to actually try it.
Aladdin- I live in Indiana and i can find chorizo at any grocery store. Its not really an exotic meat. Its basically just a spicy sausage. Im sure you just havent ever really looked for it. Its quite tasty. Dont make people from America's Heartland look like uncultured hicks. Its just sausage for crying out loud not like they told you to buy some rare form of cavier and rub it all over bison steaks. Use Italian spicy sausage if in some rare case you really cannot find chorizo

Aladdin, they sell chorizo in our local Sam's Club, Walmart, and Costco. I don't think it is nearly as exotic as you are making it out to be. Emeril cooks with it all the time down in Louisiana. It's just a sausage, for goodness sakes.

This recipe sounds good, maybe for a "grown-up" party. But, to cook for my husband and kids on a weeknight after working all day? You've got to be kidding.
Chorizo (some kind of sausage, right?) isn't even available in stores where I live. Out here in the Heartland where I live, we live a very down-to-earth life-style. Not all your readers are preppy urbanites!!
