  • Not a good family recipe

    ilovemysoldier27 - December 18, 2007 03:39:11 PM PST
These cookies are VERY tasty and almost melt in your mouth.
Unfortunately the dough is VERY sticky and messy. Not at all what I had expected. Hard to roll out and forget using cookie cutters. I even tried chilling the dough for a longer amount of time than recommended in the recipe. I had to eventually add more flour to the mix to even get the dough to roll out, which took away from the flavor.
Again, VERY tasy, but not a good recipe to use with your kids!

  • A perfect cookie recipe!

The flavor was just right, and so was the texture. I had no trouble making them, and the dough was just right. I will definitely use this recipe again and again.

  • yummy cookies!

This recipe makes some tasty cookies, but I too found that I had to add more flour to the dough and chilled it for about 3 hours to be firm enough to roll out.

  • A little tough

    Neish - September 21, 2009 12:49:09 PM PST
Sugar cookies are a tough make, If you roll them just slightly too thin they come out hard. Also these seem very unsweet. I won\\'t be using this particular recipe again.

  • Spice it up

A little bit of cardamom will light up the taste buds and give the cookie more taste.

  • Decent cookies

    espdion - December 24, 2008 08:22:38 PM PST
The cookie batter is farely simple to make. The batter comes out very easy to use after you chill it in the fridge for an hour. I used some cookie cutter christmas shapes and the batter was amazing! The only thing I would add to this recipe is more sugar. Also, do not leave the cookies in the oven for more then the recommended time, or else the cookies will become in edible...

  • horrible recipe

I followed this recipe exactly and was far to make into a ball or even roll out. I will never use this recipe again.

  • Not again for our family...

    Jessica Miguel - December 18, 2008 02:32:58 PM PST
Mine were not sticky at all and we used cookie cutters. We just found that they were very yucky to eat. They tasted like bread or maybe a very dry cake! The kids were very upset having waited a week to make them! I did put my dough right in the fridge to harden over night though. This could be why ours were never sticky.

  • sticky?

    andrea r - December 16, 2008 09:58:55 PM PST
yes, mine too were a bit on the tacky side and I added flour to it. then i remembered it may be the altitude. on some baking products it recommends to adjust recipe for certain altitudes. perhaps this is why some are fine and others are tacky and pulling?

  • Good Tasting and Easy

    Ann - December 14, 2008 08:54:53 AM PST
We made these cookies last night and they turned out perfectly. The consistency of the dough was fine...when rolling out, used flour on the rolling surface so that the dough didn\'t stick.
