  3. 2 tablespoons sugar
  4. 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Cooking Directions

  1. Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
  2. Melt butter in a 17- by 12-inch shallow baking pan in oven, about 2 minutes. Spread tortillas, in baking pan, overlapping slightly and turning each over once to coat with butter.
  3. Stir together sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Sprinkle evenly over tortillas.
  4. Bake tortillas until golden and puffed in spots, 4 to 5 minutes.

Yield: 6 servings

    These are actually called bunuelos and its an old mexican recipe.. delicious!

    i used to make this when i was younger except i did it on the stovetop by melting the butter and frying the torilla then when crisp sprinkle with cinnamon

  • Add a dip

    I always add a dip with these. I get Vanilla pudding and instead of using milk to make the pudding I use half and half. And dip away!Totally not for those on a diet but the best treat ever!!
