2. Cooking Directions

  1. Combine chocolate, cocoa, sugar and coffee granules in a food processor. Process until finely ground, about 1 minute.
  2. Stir together water and corn syrup in a small saucepan; bring just to a boil over medium-high heat. With the food processor running, add the syrup mixture, then vanilla. Continue processing until the sauce is smooth, scraping down the sides as needed. (The sauce will seem thin, but will thicken during cooling.) Transfer to a container and refrigerate until chilled, at least 2 hours. Stir well before serving; if the sauce seems too thick, stir in a little water.

Yield: 7 servings

3. Still Hungry?

Dark, glossy and slightly bittersweet, this sauce is both easy to make and a good keeper; serve it right from the refrigerator..

Notes:

Make Ahead Tip

Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.

Personally, I think that its better than that stupid Hershey's syrup.
Make sure you sift the powder first, so there are no clumps in the finished product.
The serving size is only 1/4 cup. which is still ALOT.
best over french vanilla ice cream...yummm

Sound like an easy sauce but WHY are they using Corn Syrup.......(cheap sweetner?????) Ever since I saw Dr Oz on Oprah and he explained how bad trans fats and corn syrup I check the ingredients before I buy or make.
Can simple syrup made with sugar or splenda we used ?
I will have to make a small test batch and write back.

I love creating fondue dishes with my dark chocolate! Lessens the bittersweetness when you know it's actually good for you!

Thanks for the great recipes yahoo!
