If the two of you had continued through the entire recipe and read the modifications available, then you would realize that there are substitution options for people that want to cut more fat and sugar.

This is a misleading claim for low caloric desert because the reduction of calories has to do with smaller size of each serving. This is nothing new, so please, stop the misleading claim.

If you want a healthy brownie, try this: No Pudge Fat-Free brownie mix, which is available at most grocery stores (Safeway, Whole Foods, King Soopers, Trader Joes, etc.) or you can buy online. All-natural ingredients (nothing hydrogenated!), comes in four flavors, and all you add is vanilla (or another flavor) yogurt according to the instructions. My wife and I bought a box because it was on sale for next to nothing and took our first bites near the kitchen sink, ready to spit out what was sure to be a yucky taste experience. Instead, we ate our brownies and ended up raving for ten minutes, wondering why this brand isn't more popular. They're less oily/gooey then regular brownies, but they're an exceptionally good substitute. If you're missing your brownies, give these a shot!

They come from Kraft.com. Or eatingwell.com. Or lots of other websites.

What is the purpose of the applesauce in this recipe if you are going to be adding eggs anyway? And three eggs at that! Way too much fat and sugar. How about a recipe with Splenda in it? No wonder Yahoo is being sold.

Yahoo recipes are STUPID. Anyone who knows anything about weight loss, knows that a recipe loaded with sugar and wheat flour is going to pack on the pounds. It is the height of stupidity to call a recipe like this one diet-friendly, or guilt-free.
