Our version of sweet & sour chicken is just as satisfying as the classic Chinese takeout favorite, but without all the extra sugar, salt and saturated fat. The recipe is flexible enough to accommodate your family's favorite vegetables (carrots, scallions, bok choy); just be sure to cut them into similar-size pieces so they'll all cook at about the same rate.
This recipe has been around for generations made in all sorts of way\'s past down through China, it\'s well known to be a healthy delight. I love cooking this for my friends, my step mother asian one of many delights that I know of, friends, they tend too stop eating out and just crash at my place raiding the fridge..It\'s very healthy and not so high on salt or sugar.. And helps people eat in more and save on another night of fun..Florida.

i found this really easy to make and delicious! i didn\'t add chicken and replaced the chicken broth with vegetable stock. the only thing i would suggest is use more broth than one cup. i will definately make this again!!

I added a bit of hot sauce to this, and it was just excellent. We are planning on making it again for guests to enjoy with us. I added many vegetables and found that very pleasing. Try sweet pea pods, celery, zucchini, cabbage, cauliflower, mushrooms, bok choy, green onions or any other vegetable you like. YUM!

I made this recipe tonight for dinner and my husband loved it! I did wash my chicken with lemon and water before cooking it to get rid of the raw taste; additionally, I used a little bit of gravy master and Mrs. Dash to add flavor and color. I had to add some salt and I also added onions. I will definitely make it again... Thanks for posting it on your site.
