Great sweet treat without so much guilt.
Just make sure the strawberries are dry before dipping them in the chocolate, otherwise it won\'t stick. Also don\'t refrigerate the strawberries afterwards, it\'s much better if the chocolate has hardened in room temperature. I also spray my plate with a nonstick spray before placing the strawberries on there, that way half of the chocolate won\'t stick on the plate when you go to eat\'em.

  • A few things I do...

I love to make these in the summer... and they vanish quickly!

First, I melt the chocolate in the microwave... I set it for about 30 seconds, then stir, then another 30 seconds and stir... depending on how many chips you are melting will determine the time. The reason you have to stir them often is that they retain their shape even though they may be melted. If you do not stir them up, you\'ll not know when it is melted until smooth... and therefore, you will burn the chocolate.

Second, instead of a cooking spray... I place them on wax paper placed on a cookie sheet... and unlike others, I do place them in the refrigerator briefly... to dry the chocolate quicker.

Third... whoever above said to dry the strawberries first is ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!! It makes a huge difference! I think I discovered it by mistake... but... the only mistake is if you forget to dry them....

Fourth... if you can somehow inject them with Grand Marnier Liquour.... it will just be like icing on the cake... If now, just pour a little and enjoy....

    Bon Appetite!

Yummmyyyy!!!! The best desert and my consolation is that the chocolate has antioxindants and the strawberries have vitamins!!

  • Not informative at all

Just melt chocolate in the microwave and dip strawberries? There is so much room for error in this recipe. How long to microwave chocolate? What to do with the strawberries after dipping? No tips on how to keep the chocolate from clumping? Sorry, but I could have written a better recipe and I\'ve never even done this before.
