  • very good recipe

love this recipe, very easy. we added mushrooms to the pot while it cooked for the 2 1/2 to 3 hrs.
at about the 2 hr mark i added large chunks of sweet potatoes that i had already boiled for about 15 minutes. boil the potatoes, drain, then add into pot. spoon some sauce of the potatoes and finish cooking for 30 minutes. amazing!

Cut the recipe in half for two and there was still some left for hot beef sandwiches the next day. I made using the crock pot method and it turned out great!

I am so glad to see a recipe that doesn\'t have the MSG or hidden MSG such as autolyzed yeast that is always in soup mix and canned soups. Thank you!

Need a great Sunday dinner, look no further, this was really good and easy, I served it to nine for dinner and the kids and adults all love it. I\'m passing the recipe on to my mom.

  • Absolutely Awesome!

This was very easy, inexpensive and turned out to be amazing! Even my youngest daughter, who is picky beyond belief loved it. The only change I made was to use Thick \\'n Thin instead of corn starch since we prefer to watch our carb intake.

We will definitely do this one again - only with a bigger roast so there are leftovers!

I love this idea. I never thought of coffee, but I guess the acid would help break down the meat

  • this is the best darn recipe on this site period

now this is a recipe you have to try! take flank steaks and pound them so that thier paper thin ,next smear mustard on the flank steak ,one side only as it will be rolled after the ingriedients are put in ,next add finely chopped onions ,sauted or uncooked ,but i preffer slightly cooked ,then add chopped up pickles in equal amounts of the onions ,a teaspoon of each would be fine ,then you will take cooked bacon and lay them long ways on top of the mustard oinons and pickle spread as to be long ways with the flank steak , you can now salt and pepper slightly and roll up like egg rolls , after rolling secure with toothpicks on both ends ...now you will brown theese in a frying pan until the roulade has been browned slightly ,after that you can make a beef gravy that would be enough to cover the amount of beef roulade you have made ,put it in a slow cooker or a roasting pot on the stove for around two hours of slow low heat cooking , after that you can serve them with egg noodles that have fried bread crumbs on top ,then top with your brown gravy ,,yummie you won,t be dissapointed ,this is a family dish that i had in my family for years and is one of my favorites ,the thought of it is making my mouth water now , the bread crumb thing is just taking regular bread crumbs and puting a little oil in a hot frying pan and adding bread crums and keep turning them till they reach a golden brown color , the bread crumbs gives a texture to the egg noodles thats awsome , remeber to take the tooth picks out of the rouladen before eating ,their only purpose is to hold the meat together during the slow cooking process ,hope you enjoy this recipe as i do, any problems email me at glenmann62@yahoo.com,bonapetit!
