Anytime you put cream cheese and chicken together it is good but try this for a twist. For the topping I make a can of cream of chicken soup and mix with with 1/2 cheddar cheese. Cook to heat and melt cheese and pour it over the top... YUMMO!!!

IT'S A GOOD VARIATION ON AN OLD RECIPE. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE CRANBERRY SAUCE, BUT I DO KNOW THAT IF YOU COOK CRESCENT ROLLS IN THE OVEN FOR 25 MINUTES, YOU GET BURNED CRESCENT ROLLS.

Simple, quick, cheap... What a great change of pace for a busy working mother. This was easy to follow and great tasting. The spredable cheese gave it a wonderful flavor. We all know how hard it is to find something new to prepare with chicken.... this did it for us.

  • Really three reviews in one

Dad says: my normally picky 9 and 7 year olds actually liked this and we will have it again. Very easy to prepare and the kids helped as well. I put a dash of pesto on top of the cheese to give mine a bit more flavour.

9 year old says: I give it 4 stars because the croissant was something I already liked. I don't normally like chicken but this was good.

7 year old says: I give it 3 and a half stars. I did not like the cheese though. I will eat it again if there is less cheese on it.

  • An instant fave!

I made this last night for the first time. From the first bite, my husband raved. He claimed that this was at the very top of the 'new' recipes I've been experimenting with lately. I didn't use the garlic salt, and I melted down some jalapeno jelly to replace the cranberry sauce. Super easy, super quick and super delicious!

  • Good and versatile

This was good - however I don't like cranberry sauce, so I left it out and instead topped it with sour cream and chopped tomatoes.

I have also made a similar recipe using the Pillsbury Grands biscuits. I cooked the chicken breasts fully, cut them into pieces and put them in my food processor with some thawed broccoli and shredded cheddar cheese. Once it got to a good consistency (that's a matter of choice) in there, I then spooned it out and spread it on one flattened bicuit and topped it with a second flattened biscuit, sealing the edges. Put in 350 oven for about 8-9 minutes and topped with more cheese right at the end (which melted nicely). Deeelish!!

  • Different but good...

I used a garlic herb spreadable cheese and that didn't go great with the cranberry sauce. I think it would be better with a different flavor of cheese that doesn't have such a strong flavor.
