2. Cooking Directions

  1. In a large skillet or deep fryer, deep fry chicken wings in oil until done, about 10 minutes. Remove chicken and oil from skillet/fryer, drain oil and reserve chicken.
  2. Melt butter/margarine in skillet, then add vinegar and hot sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir all together. Add cooked chicken to sauce and stir over low heat to coat. The longer the wings simmer in the sauce, the hotter they will be. Serve warm.

Yield: 24 servings

3. Still Hungry?

Deep-fried chicken wings are simmered in butter and hot sauce to pack quite a kick.

I tried this recipe and thought it was sensational. It had just enough seasoning and the chicken was very crispy, not soggy from the sauce. It was blended very well. I know without a doubt that these buffalo chicken wings are party favorites. Serving it it will be a kick and the taste will be a kick all by itself. So, try it and see what I'm talking about.

This recipe was really good. Now I know how the restaurants make them.Would be great for parties. and would be much cheaper than getting them made professionally by publix or a deli for a party or something. Very fast and simple. I didn't have to go out and buy anything for this recipe as it was very simple and I liked that. I put a little garlic powder in mine though. And I didn't put as much vinegar. but that's just my personal preference. I also added the hot sauce before the salt and pepper instead of after. I also liked the fact that the wings weren't soggy from the sauce . I used Tabasco sauce for the hot pepper sauce and it worked wonders.

I would advise people not to put too much butter to make the coating though, it will outrun the hot sauce and it wont be hot at all. Although I Like hot foods, mine weren't, but I still enjoyed them, Next time I'll know not to use as much butter.

Also I would advise people to add a lot of hot sauce while using Tabasco Sauce because you have to shake the bottle unlike other hot pepper sauces. Otherwise, it wont be hot. If you don't want them hot, then just do like I unintentionally did and just add hot sauce till the mixture is orange. ( I don't really use given measurements much)

Ps: I "Cleanse" all my meat by soaking it in a mixture of vinegar and salt (doesn't matter how much, as long as the meat is covered) for about 15 minutes. And then fully rinsing the meat before starting the original recipe.

Im sorry if the Buffalo is such an inconvience. Although the dish did originate in Buffalo, New York the appellation "buffalo" is now commonly applied to foodstuffs other than wings that are seasoned with the sauce or close variations on it. Its a good recipe for people with little and a lot of mouths.
