I don't believe it states anywhere that its healthy. I think this comment section is the worst idea.....you get everyones thoughts. Everyone from those who cant read an entire page to those who are just plain bitter and need to make nasty or snide comments on everything. If the recipe doesn't sound good to you, move on to the next one. No one is forcing you to make this dish. And news flash, not everyone is going to like favorite recipes either. In fact I wish the complainers recipes where available for the rest of us to judge and make comments on.

  • Some Perspective...

To those criticising this recipe as un-healthy, fat content is only one dimension of nutrition. If this is the only fatty food you eat all day, what's the big deal? Not everyone is on a restricted diet and some of us do enjoy trying new foods/dishes on their merits. And if you're concerned about the fat, substitute the daily products. Pumpkin and spinach are *very* healthy.

And alphamom10, if you haven't actually tried the recipe, it's best to reserve judgement on a board devoted to reviewing them. Just because you *think* the ingredients are "incompatible" doesn't mean they are and that others won't enjoy them. People -- especially foodies -- have a wide range of gastronomic interests; and broadcasting your opinions (or food prejudices) without trial or basis just seems provincial, narrow, presumptuous, and lazy.

    Cheers, all...

  • who cares about healthy, does it taste good?

If you have to watch what you eat like that, you need to exercise. and eat one cracker a day!

  • Does anybody bother cooking these recipes any more?

    luminita c - May 30, 2008 12:16:40 PM PST
In the good old days, you were supposed to cook a recipe before you review it. Now it has become a literary excercise: reviews based on what's written, ingredients, feelings and moods. I think we should go back to the old ways.
And I'm not a health freak, but I know all ingredients come in fat-free versions as well (cooking spray, fat-free cheese). So please use your creativity and imagination to improve the recipe and give suggestions to others with the same concerns, or don't bother writing at all. It offends the rest of us who really look at reviews for suggestions.
I am going to be back after I make the recipe!

I tried it! It's ok, not great, maybe a vegetarian would like more than I did. But it's not bad either!
