1. Ingredients

  1. 3 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  4. 3 tablespoons poppy seeds
  5. 1 1/2 teaspoons butter flavored extract
  6. 1 1/3 cups vegetable oil
  7. 3 eggs
  8. 1 1/2 cups milk
  9. 2 1/4 cups white sugar
  10. 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  11. 1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
  12. 1/4 cup orange juice
  13. 1/2 teaspoon butter flavored extract
  14. 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  15. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  16. 2 cups confectioners' sugar

2. Cooking Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease bottoms of two 9-inch loaf pans.
  2. Mix together flour, salt, baking powder, poppy seeds, butter flavoring, oil, eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and almond flavoring. Pour into prepared pans.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for one hour. Cool 5 minutes. Poke holes in top of loaves and pour glaze over.
  4. To make glaze: Mix orange juice, 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring, 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Add enough confectioners' sugar to make glaze.

Yield: 24 servings

    This bread actually is a unleavened bread(No Fermentation), thus we can do it fastly and easier. If wanna get more tasty on this bread, we can try to replace the vege oil to butter(melted). Also this recipe is suit for homemade, so hopefully everybody can enjoy it!! Thanks for ALLRECIPES.COM and YAHOO. CHeers!!

    I halved this recipe, producing one loaf. As I was curious about it, I switched the vegetable oil to coconut oil. The result was a very moist and tasty bread. My husband says, "It's a keeper."
