  1. 4 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
  2. 3/4 cup water
  3. 1/4 cup white sugar
  4. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2. Cooking Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, or until apples are soft. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.

Yield: 4 servings

This applesauce is delicious! I make it for my younger brother all the time. He loves it, and he hates canned applesauce!

    The best applesauce I eat is homemade with NO extra sugar or cinnamon. It all depends what types of apples you use; good apples like Matsui or Red Delicious (in fact, I like to combine two or three different types of naturally sweet apples) make such additives unnecessary.

    Was a little watery so i dumped it out before mashing apples. i like that it does have loads of sugar!!
