  • Country dinner delight

Meatloaf the way I remember back when my mom used to make it! Excellent flavor and simple to make, it had my family coming back for seconds. We served it with fresh mashed potatoes and green beans on the side. Definitely a recipe we will use again

  • Sounds like mine

This sounds like the way I make mine except I mix the ketchup and brown sugar and put it on the top the last 7 or 8 minutes of baking. I put garlic powder, oregano, onion powder, tony chaceres (I'm from Louisiana), Worcestershire sauce, onions, bell peppers, and I use 1lb of ground beef and 1lb of ground pork and mix everything together.

  • The kosher twist

    Miriam G - June 24, 2008 09:12:31 AM PST
As a kosher consumer and made this recipe with a kosher twist. I changed the milk for 1/3 cup of onion soup broth, used only 1 egg and instead of saltines, I used bread crumbs. The meatloaf was subperb with my fussy family asking for seconds.
