3. Still Hungry?

This large 9x13-inch crisp is made hearty with cooking oats mixed into its sweet crumbly topping. Underneath are all the lovely things that compliment apples -cinnamon, brown sugar and butter. Serve warm with rum raisin ice cream or a big dollop of freshly whipped cream.

I HAVE MADE APPLE CRISP BEFORE, BUT THIS WAS THE BEST I'VE HAD. I GOT ALITTLE CONFUSED ON HOW MUCH OATES TO USE. I USED A CUP IT WAS SO GOOD I MADE 3 MORE AND GAVE TO MY FAMILY. NOW THEY ALL WANT MORE FOR THANKSGIVING. IT WAS MOIST AND NOT REAL SWEET JUST RIGHT. THE PREP TIME WAS FAST AND EASY. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THE RECIPE.

  • DELICIOUS!!

This was soooo quick and easy to make! The only thing that actually takes any amount of time is peeling and cutting up the apples but even that doesn't take long at all. I've never had a dessert gobbled up so quickly! I just made is less than a week ago and I know I'm going to buy more apples tonight. One major plus is that all of these ingredients are things that most people have on hand anyways and who doesn't love that?! In short- make this tonight... you won't regret it!

It was fabulous! Just enough crisp and all! My only complaint is that it's just a little bit too sweet, so I suggest that you put a little bit less sugar in to the crust.
