I love all these articles about watching calories and what you should or should not eat! I don't think many Americans are doing it. You just go to the mall on a week-end and people watch and take a gander! I don't see many skinny or health nuts there. The obesity I see is frightening. The old rule to remember: Eat like a king in the morning, a prince in the afternoon and a pauper at night. BTW! You should see yourself from the back where I am sitting on the bench in the Mall. That should kill a few appetites!

I am struggling with weight loss. I have found a couple of new ideas here!!! I never knew about stimulating my metabolism, and the 3 hour rule to stop eating before going to bed! Exercise, yeah I heard about it before, and I don't do enough....I know ALSO, if you have a back brush...you can "DRY BRUSH" your body to feel GREAT and to stimulate your Lymph System!!! a Hot rubdown first sounds GREAT! I am going to try it before my DRY BRUSHING!!! I am single and looking!!! ted33308@yahoo

I eat peanut butter and jelly or peanut butter and banana everyday with no negative results. peanuts are actually really healthy for you. if you love peanut butter and jelly and are worried about the healthiness of it do as i do - buy natural peanut butter with no additives. most commercial brands contain sugar, and hydrogenated oils, some of the cheap ones even contain high fructose corn syrup (uber bad there...) yes, you will have to stir the natural peanut butter to keep the oils from seperating or refrigerate it, but the extra work is definitely worth it. as far as jelly goes, choose all-fruit natural jellies. Smuckers makes a natural jelly that tastes delicious. the key is to read labels and don't buy stuff that has all the unnecessary junk in it.

Water:
now there is a good question. most definitely yes! drink lots of water. your body needs it to function properly, it helps you feel fuller while eating less food, and it helps flush out all the impurities from your body.

Make sure to get the cold pressed olive oil because the regular olive oil still contains trans-fats cause it it is heated to get all the oil out. We all know that trans-fats are damaged fats and your body has a hard time removing them from your system. Water also flushes old fat cells out of your body, so drink it daily but don't over do it. To much water can cause bowel problems such as loose stools. PB&J on white bread is not good for you all your eating is oils and sugar.(white bread turns to sugar and causes your insulin levels to spike, just like white rice and pototoes)

I don't like loaf bread. I make my sandwiches with either whole grain pitas, flatbread, or tortillas.
my peanut butter and banana sandwich usually consists of a tortilla covered with natural freshly ground peanut butter then you take a whole banana lay it on the tortilla and roll it up.. it is good :)

The happiness in my diet comes from Healthy Chocolate that has reduced my cravings for junk food. It doesn't have the bad stuff like regular chocolate (refined sugar, added fats, wax, etc.). It does have cold-pressed cocoa, blueberry, and acai berry. My arthritis doesn't hurt anymore, my cholestrol is down, and I can eat all the chocolate I want without gaining weight. Now THAT is a happy diet! (www.AskMeAboutHealthyChocolate.com)

I love Denny Waxman's material, philosophy, and steps. I've been incorporating them into my daily life and it has made all the difference in the world! I highly recommend his book too!

I started following Denny Waxman's recommendations 11 months ago. I lost 23 pounds in the first 3 weeks! Now, 11 months later I'm down a total of 43 pounds! I have not counted calories, carbs, or fat grams. I'm not hungry and feel fabulous.
Before I started, I lacked energy, was dealing with painful Achilles tendonitis. Even though food tasted good, I was not satisfied. I was overweight and sluggish. Within a week of following Denny's recommendations, I was able to walk barefoot without pain. I now feel like a brand new person.
My mother who weighed about the same as I did when I started, began eating like me and lost the exact same amount of weight I did in the same time frame. My son who is now tired of being overweight, recently, decided to try it too and in 22 days is down 22 pounds. He wants to lose another 50.... I'm excited for him. I know for the first time, he's going to reach his goal... because when he eats, he's not left feeling hungry because there wasn't enough to eat.
I now study at the Strengthening Health Institute (SHI) in order to learn more and enhance my practice and lifestyle. Thank you Denny!

So far I have lost a total of 40 pounds since stopping meat, dairy and sugar and a following a macrobiotic diet. I have been a student of Denny Waxman's for a while now and all of these suggestions have worked wonders on my health and appearance. I am so grateful to have found this. It's true, when you are engaged in a happy activity, food is the last thing on your mind.

I started following Denny's recommendations in 2007 after over 20 years of weight, health and body image issues. In the first year, I lost 90 lbs., without trying! I eat the best, whole foods that are full of life. That is the difference for me: I learned to ask, does this food have life or is it dead? Now I don't think of food as carbs, calories or any label. As of today, I have lost over 100 lbs., no longer have high blood pressure or cholesterol and have completed Denny's one year comprehensive program at SHI. I teach classes, helping other people see what choices are available if they want to change their lives, one step at a time. We are part of nature, therefore we live and eat in harmony with that from which we come...

I 1st saw Denny Oct. 1984. His advise completely changed my life , I would never consider going back to the "standard American diet" . I honestly don't miss any of the old foods I used to eat.
More later....
