Never want to be near a bird again? I hear you. The first serving is delicious, so are the initial leftovers, but everything in between and after is too much turkey. For those who are through with the forms in which turkey is resurrected after Thanksgiving, these take-out suggestions are for you. Since times are tight for everyone, I've included at-home, alternative recipes for each.

10.  Chopped Salad
Clear your palate of all that stifling comfort food with the garden-freshness found in a yummy salad. Try avocado, a little bacon, some raw spinach leaves, or whatever strikes you as unrelated to the holiday sides you recently consumed.

9.  Pho
If you've only heard about this Vietnamese soup phenomenon, find the closest place where you can pick it up right now. A cold plate of fresh ingredients is served with hot broth. Add the cold noodles, limes, meat, chiles, cilantro, and bean sprouts into the soup. Let it steep for a few minutes. The soup and noodles take on an incredible, fresh taste. At the end you'll feel full but not stuffed.

8.  Fish 'n' Chips
A British standby and a New American favorite. If you want to make holiday reparations, ask if you can sub a salad or soup for those "chips."

7.  Dal
If you're fed up with classic American fare, now is a good time to go global. Dial in to your local Indian take-out place, or try that new spot you keep eyeing. The lentil dish, dal, is filling, nutritious, delicious, and gives you a break from all that meat back at home.

6.  Salmon and Avocado Sushi
Memories of gooey gravy and heavy stuffing, be gone! Fresh fish (or just veggies if the raw thing is a bit much for you) wrapped in rice and seaweed makes the body feel clean. You'll forget all about that sweet potato casserole in no time.

5.  Thin Crust Pizza

So much ease after such a work-heavy holiday is much deserved. Whether from your local parlor or from the freezer aisle, thin crust is the forgiving way to enjoy this family classic.

4.  Mediterranean Platter

Hummus, eggplant spread, pita, tabouleh, and stuffed grape leaves... This is one of the cheapest and healthiest ways to fill up fast. It's always listed in the appetizer section, but is usually enough to feed a full meal to two.

3.  Moo-Shu Shrimp

The burrito idea is there, but this Chinese dish is so much lighter and no less delicious. If you order enough of this savory dish, you don't have to do the whole heavy 4-course family-style extravaganza. Since you're probably still a little satiated from your last helping of turkey, take it easy with this fun roll-it-yourself classic.

2.  Tostada
This ginormous chip filled with layers of differently delicious Mexican-type foods is completely unlike a Thanksgiving dinner. The pilgrims almost definitely did not eat it. It's refreshing in a salad-y way but is completely filling. A tostada may be the perfect way to say "ta-ta" to T-day.

1.  Burger

The best way to battle poultry is with red meat. And the ultimate way to recover from a big formal dinner is to have a big, sloppy, casual sandwich. Go get your favorite grilled burger, and may I suggest downing it right in your car? Take that, cloth napkins!
