Quick, delicious, well-rated, inventive, cheesy... It's hard to say why users gravitate in such huge numbers to these 10 recipes on Yahoo! Food. Perhaps it's their alluring pictures, maybe it's all about ease or budget, or it could be that most everyone just really loves cheese. Whatever the reason, here are our most popular recipes of 2008, the ones people keep clicking on and cooking up. Have you tried them? Would they make your top 10?

1. Inside-Out Cheeseburgers

2. Cowboy Tacos

3. Burrito Pie

4. Red Velvet Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

5. No-Bake Macaroni and Cheese

6. Velveeta Chili Dip

7. Speedy Layered Chicken Enchilada Pie

Is it a coincidence that most of the dishes listed here are mexican or is it just that mexican food is popular & convenient?

All of these recipies are horrible. the only reason these are the most clicked on is because the companies behind these recipies paid yahoo food to have them featured. the same ones over and over again. yahoo food really could be a great section if they concentrated on quality recipies, instead of say Kraft paying them to post a disgusting combination of low quality ingredients. This is the saddest top 10 list of 2008 anywhere online. To the author Sarah Fuss: you put your name behind this as your "fresh picks" of 2008? if you like these recipies so much, why don't you try them first, and tell me how you feel the next day. absolutely disgusting.

Why don't you put people's ACTUAL favorite foods. Like best homeade pizz or ice cream cake. These recipes are all mainly storebought ingredients mixed into a pillsbury dough and velveeta concotion! Blick! :( And why so much mexican food? Where is the italian, chinese, caribbean?

They all taste OK. Not gourmet by any means. Easy to prepare and cook for any level of cook. And the ultimate end result we look for....they all make a decent turd.

It's no wonder that Americans are the most overweight people in the world, and suffer from the highest levels of cholesterol and weight related diseases. I'm certain that the same people requesting these recipes are feeding this garbage to their obese children as well. Wise up!

these foods probably taste OK, but average hard working men and women will not be satisfied with this little of food. Try giving us some good ideas with meat and potatoes.

I have made the inside out cheeseburgers and they are really tasty; especially when you have like 5 cheese. I love it and I would be willing to give the other recipes a try. :-)

Wow! I agree with those who've already noted the unhealthiness of these choices. If this list represents the typical Americans' food preferences, no wonder so many are so overweight!

I noticed the Tex Mex factor as well. I think that someone mentioned Red Velvet Cake being the exception, but this is also a traditional Texan dessert. I think the recipes sound OK, but there are obviously some factors affecting this list. Not all are sponsored by food companies, are they? If not, was the list just innocently labeled incorrectly (i.e., should it be "The Best Recipes in Texas of 2008"?

It truly amazing the limits that the tree huggers and non smokers go to contaminate our lives. The medical news states without question tha fat people cost us billions and no effort by anyone to set a non eating area which would be a great service to us all. The recipies are great they are cost effective and delicious and all these people can't be wrong. All you know is what you know smile

I'll go back and read it again, but I think the list is comprised of most "clicked on" recipes ... not healthiest or best ingredients. They pretty much look like meals one can make in one dish for a hungry family.
