Amazing how little people know about eating good food. My husband & I have a little fruit juice w/aloe juice & a capful of liquid minerals at breakfast/lunch is real yogurt from a health food store w/brewers yeast, which contains vitamins/nutrients we can't get from our food/flax seed oil & lethicin. This is so easy to fix up about 14 little yogurt cups for the week/ready to go. This plus a banana for lunch or an apple keeps me satisfied & running thru a stressful office day. We also take some supplements.fish oil/calcuim/co-q10/rutin/luten/glucosimine. People have to realize that the foods/fruits & veggies we buy in the stores have very little nutrients/the soil has bn depleted or they are grown in a hot house
At least this cut & paste junk wasn't the typical bait and switch advertising that Yahoo usually pulls. I do think however that Sarah misspelled her last name. It is spelled "Fluff" not "Fuss".

Everything is good in your guide to healther eating accept low fat yogurt if the yogurt is not made from organic whole milk is not the yogurt. The low fat are worse for us and real food. I enjoy your choice of soy milk we do have soy yogurt also. I have raised my two little girls with soy prduct and natural organic whole milk home made yogurt.

Good advice, however all of us don't work a regular 8-5 schedule. For those of us that are "on call" we have to eat when we don't have the luxury of planning ahead and have to grab something on the go, sometimes going 5-6 hours or more between meals or even snacks. The folks that plan these must all assume that everyone has a daytime work schedule. Thanks

I would have a problem with some of these suggestions because of a lactose intolerance. I also have issues with an over production of stomach acid (I take medication daily for it) but stopped eating bananas because the medication isn't enough to help with the heartburn I get from eating them. I'd like to see some suggestions that take into consideration us folks that CAN'T eat dairy at all, and maybe don't have time the night before to whip up a dish of whole grain pasta to bring into work for the next day....work with us here!!

I agree with most of this (have a solid breakfast, eat lunch on time, reduce caffein...) but I would add 3 points:
1) energy is not just about what you eat but also having some physical activity to boost your blood circulation and bring oxygen to your brain and muscles - 10 mn before breakfast can make a difference
2) mixing milk or dairy products with fruits, especially those containing some acidity (eg. peaches) can cause digestive pbs (IBS)
3) if you need to have a snack, make sure it is light and easy to digest (like an apple - ban processed foods!) since asking your stomach to digest new food before it is done with your previous meal (5h on average) can upset it and also cause digestive pbs.
