Super Bowl is near. Do you know what you're serving with your chips? Try any and all of these four, super easy, internationally-inspired cheese dips that are also great with crudites or crackers.
Tip: To keep calories down, use yogurt.
French-Style Cheese Dip
(Makes about 2 cups)
2 packages Boursin or other garlic herb soft cheese (5.2 oz. each)
3/4 cup thick Mediterranean or Greek style yogurt or 1/2 cup whole milk
Blend the ingredients together with a wire whisk or in a blender.
British-Style Cheese Dip
(Makes about 1 3/4 cups)
1/2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 cup thick Mediterranean or Greek style yogurt or 1/2 cup buttermilk
3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
Blend the ingredients together. If you like a chunkier dip, mix the ingredients with a spoon. For a smoother, creamier consistency, use a blender.
Italian-Style Cheese Dip
(Makes about 2 cups)
12 ounces of whipped cream cheese or mascarpone cheese
1 small can of tomato paste
Blend the ingredients together completely with a spoon.
Greek-Style Cheese Dip
(Makes about 2 cups)
1 cup thick Greek style yogurt
1 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/2 cup grated cucumber
Salt to taste
Combine the yogurt and feta in a blender until smooth. Stir in the grated cucumber.
