Obviously this person has missed a lot of places in New York because that's where the best pizza is. I don't live nin New York anymore and one of the things I miss most is their AWESOME PIZZA.

You mention New York City, try Pepe's pizza in New Haven, CT.on Wooster Street, followed by Modern pizza and Sally's Pizza. This is the best pizza in the world and the first to make pizza's, period. Everyone in New Haven, knows you can't get good pizza outside of New Haven.

I haven't had the pizza that the author of this piece talks about---but not long ago I spend a week in Louisville, KY and was turned on to a local pizza outfit----BoomBozz's Pizza----they have the best pizza I have ever had--and I put them up with the best of the best in the USA-----

For the very best pizza you have to go to ROMA PIZZERIA in Berrien Springs,Mich former home to M.ALI and I am sure he would agree that nobody makes better pizza and breadsticks like Tony and Fred Macerata!! Our entire family always hits Romas whenever we get to michigan!! We live in S.C. now.

Sorry, but for my money and taste, nothing can beat Lou Malnati's in Chicago and suburbs. Go to their website now and order yourself a scrumptious deep dish, oiled crust to die for, fresh tomatoed legend. Can you eat more than two slices? You'll want to, but beware. Why not save some for tomorrow? It reheats like a dream. Go on... Google it. You know you want to...

Give him some credit, it least he isn't biased for picking his hometown like many of you are doing. He at least tried to find somewhere was the best after going to many places around the country. In order to settle this though, you'll have to use your own opinion. Until you all visit this place, you can't know whether it is better than your favorite, however, this could always be a simple marketing trick, and the place could be terrible!

I am sure this pizza is great but I have tried the best from NY City and surrounding areas and Peppys and Sallys in New Haven, Ct are the best...for over 80 years baked in the hottest ovens around. , coal fired, not wood at over 1000 degrees...and they sell ONLY pizza, no salad, no grinders, no nothing but pizza and on Saturday night you wait at least 90 minutes to get into the door,
Try it !!! You'll love it !!!

There is no comparison to Chicago's Deep Dish Pizza. It's here where it began and no place else has it better. I've had pizza in the New York area, it did not compare. Had pizza in Boston and it was terrible. Have a friend that lives in St Louis and he loves the pizza when he's here. Only once have I found some pizza comparable and it was in Ca. That was because the guy was from the Chicago area.

The Best Pizza is the Vegetarian Pizza at Romannacio's on Avenida Brazil in front of Costco in Panama City, Panama. When ordering tell the Chef that the Gringo sent you. He knows how I like it and you will too.

I'm sorry but most people will have their biases, especially if you live in the east coast, so all this hate needs to stop. You've never even tried the pizza, so how do you know it's not the best in the nation?! The owner is actually a NY transplant (actually just born in brooklyn) and many food critics from NY are raving over this place. It's all subjective, but there really is a lot of buzz across the nation for Pizzeria Bianco

Trouble is, everyone here is geocentric, i.e. they're choosing their favorite pizza based on their geographic location. That's especially true for New Yorkers, who think the best of everything is in New York. I guess they just have to keep justifying why they continue to live in such a miserable place. How sad!
I've tried pizza all over the country and no place. Let me repeat: NO PLACE has pizza that can compare with New Haven pizza. If you study the settlement patterns of early Italian immigrants, you'll understand why the best pizza makers settled there. GET OVER IT NEW YORK! Your pizza is mediocre-just like most of your sports teams, Yankees excepted!
