I make "raw" pizza crust with sprouted buckwheat groats, carrot pulp, flaxseed meal, & olive oil mixed in the food processor then dehydrated. It may not be exactly the same as what we're talking about in this article, but it is delicious and healthy.

Pizza is fantabulous. I almost miss working at a Pizza joint for all the free pizza...the pay and the customers sucked, so actually, I just want free pizza. ;)

I use a pizza stone in a 550 degree oven. Plain pureed tomato in a can (not pizza sauce) with a little garlic powder, salt and basil and fresh mozzarella and it is better than any pizza I buy at the local places. I think the stone and keeping it simple are the keys....

I live in Connecticut, which is the Holyland of pizza. He hit the nail on the head for every one. The sauce and toppings are key. Sallys and Pepes have perfected every aspect of pizza. I feel bad for anyone who never gets to experience Wooster Street, New Haven pizza.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. You have yours, I have mine, everyone else has their own about what makes a great pizza.
I think you are wrong. I would not like a pizza made the way you describe. I don't want my pizza to take like it has been in a smoker. Save the smoker for big hunks of beef and ribs.
I would like my pizza to have an all American Pizza Parlor flavor. Something from a Shakey's Pizza would be great. Or Round Table Pizza.
I think you are just trying to keep your job by making up stuff to write about. You know the truth. Keep it real. Real Pizza. The American way. Not some fancy, hyped up, nonsense, pizza type product.
If you really like the "Pizza" you are describing, you need to rename it so as not to get confused with Real Pizza. Maybe call it "Pizza Type Food" "PTF" Then you won't confuse your readers.
