WARNING: Mojitos are delicious but are NOT calorie-free.... one of the ingredients is simple syrup; i.e., SUGAR WATER. The other ingredients are lime, fresh mint, rum and soda water.
I typically drink (unflavored) vodka and soda with a small touch of Rose's Lime - now THAT's yummy and lo-cal! In the last year I've gone from a size 18 to a size 4. Changing my drinking habits has helped enormously. I used to be a big margarita/mojito/beer drinker.
Now when I drink, it's either red wine or vodka-and-soda. I do allow myself a very occasional gin-and-tonic or vodka-and-tonic as a treat though. Word to the wise: tonic water is also full of sugar, so limit that, too.

whats the point of drinking if you don't get drunk? oh and as for the suggestion about playing pool and darts, i don't go to dive bars, i go to clubs. as in, places that are classy. no darts. no pool. dancing, drinks, chilling. that's it.

If people wanna drink, they'll drink! And if you have a hangover next day, you'll not eat as much as you would've, so make up for all the extra calories of the night before.

First off id like to respond to a few posts...yes, being prego DOES suck, and in more ways than just not drinking!! Secondly ive also found that taking a B vitamin before drinking or even after right before bed does help with hangovers. Also, running a few miles the day after helps too...sweating out that hangover is really best if you can do it. As for this article, its great for those wussy girly girls i guess, but us southern girls are gonna drink anything and everything and STILL look hot!

There are sugar free flavor syrups available in the health food section of your local supermarket... they can be mixed with seltzer and vodka/rum/tequila/bacardi.... you still have the alchohol calories to worry about, but the syrup is calorie free (splenda flavored) so its easier on your waist.

A 12 oz. Guinness only has about 125 calories...not that much more than "light" beer, but a whole lot more flavor, and actually has less carbs than a Budweiser or Sam Adams Light.

Recently I have been taking those to-go drink packet, like cyrstal light or welch, which no or few calories with me to the bar. Then I order a selzer or water with vodka and mix up my own low calorie drink that still taste good!

Me and my boys have been killing the vodka and waters, with a lemon and line for flavor. If u work out regularly and drink say 10 of them, thats about a 1000 calories, which isnt bad considering the fact that its the weekend. Most people dont know that it takes about 3600 calories to equal a pound, so a 1000 calories isnt bad at all. But just wok out, ditch the fast-food and late eating and u will see a change in ur physical appearance...i did, and now Im even sexier than b4--scary!
