I love this blog because even though I don't eat a whole lot of fast food, it reminds me why I don't. That Volcano Box from Taco Bell is sickening. Thanks hungry girl

Hahaha, my friend (who is extremely thin, especially for a lethargic guy. Lucky boy has an insane metabolism) got the volcano box one day and inhaled it in about six minutes. It was horrifying.

Can't say I've ever found myself wandering around singing "yippee - ai-ayy, mini-sirloin burgers". If I did see anyone doing so, I'd keep a close eye on that person. That's just weird behavior.

Wow, a Triple Stack at Wendy's has less than 600 calories? Ditch the top half of the bun and it's probably less than that. I am so there. Thanks for the tip.

EWWWW! Why anyone would consume ANY of the items on the list is beyond me. Those Frosty things sounded nasty immeduately as soon as I heard the "toffee" part... ew. I just don't get why they take something that is okay and completely ruin it. Gross.

A basic rule of thumb: if a burger (or any kind of sandwich) has so much mayo that you can see a thick layer of it (like that Burger King Steakhouse burger!) STAY AWAY FROM IT! Ihate coffee, so I would never get the Coffee Frosty thing anyway. And that Volcano box looks horrendous. D-=

Low fat, low sodium bread. Low fat mayo. Low fat cheese. Hey, here's a better and tastier way to eat fewer calories: Order the volcano and eat the cardboard box. MMM, Yum! Add a Coke Zero. No calories, but the sweetener destroys brain cells...wonder how many brain cells in a pound?

There is nothing wrong with eating fast food. Just pick the low calorie meals which is not easy because most of the meals carry a tremendous amount of calories. Just do not choose fast food for an everyday choice of eating your meals. Just treat yourself once in a blue moon and burn the calories off quick by exercising.

The food industry can make food with out all the calories and fat are profits and money so importiant to them people health is not on the list of thing to do.

There is nothing wrong with a good juicy burger with all the fixins of course, in moderation!!!!
Yeah these burgers fat content is ridiculous but if you only eat fast food every once in awhile, then even eating this shouldn't be a problem.

You can eat fast food...just not EVERY DAY! Just like you don't have Starbucks and chocolate and cake every day. Those are 'luxury foods' in my opinion. And that's the problem, imo... Ppl eat this mess like it's going out of style, they don't work out and then wonder why they're so big. When I first went to college we only had a Sbarros. I went back to finish my degree and there's a Subway, Taco Bell, Starbucks and Chili's, ET CETERA... on my campus in addition to the cafeteria food...
I know of plenty who practically live out fast-food restaurants, i.e., students, singles, ppl who can't cook, ppl who don't want to cook, ppl who don't pack lunches, ppl who work out of their vehicles, etc... It's way too convenient. If you think that's bad, I know of children who are raised on a steady diet of Kool-Aid and 'Happy Meals'! And it's not their fault. How can you have lil ones and NOT even try to cook? I may ruffle some feathers, here -- but whatever...that is just a damn shame. No wonder kids are so fat these days. Poor things.

why don't you just list the items that are actually good to eat at those places, that would be a much easier list to make, and a far smaller one
Also, if you're such a big calorie counter why not just cut any one of those burgers in half and only eat half one day and half the next, those don't look so unhealthy if you do it that way, you're all about cutting calories right?

We are all addicted to something and people become addicted to fast food. Too bad Whole Foods doesn't have a drive thru. It would be a big hit. But you have to watch the calories there too.

I like the comment about just listing the good choices at all the fast food restaurants. There are some decent choices out there. It is the temptation that gets everyone!! Good info. Thanks!
