If we are to eat healthy why not have vending machines with healthy foods instead? that's what we need because it's just to tempting to grab that high calorie snack if that's the only thing available and your craving something at the moment to eat...Don't you agree?

Christ, what's with all the "Well what am I supposed to eat now?" whining? Geez, you're adults! Maybe go to the grocery store and buy some stuff to take to work with you? It's your own fault if you can't plan ahead. I take 100 calorie packs to satisfy my sweet tooth and maintain some portion control. The single-serve bags of popcorn are a good choice, too. Some of you are acting like you can't figure out what to do just because one person told you not to eat from a vending machine!

Um. What the heck, people?
If you're out somewhere, and you wont have food within the next hour or so, just get what ever the hell you want. If you have some junk once in a while it wont hurt you.
Remember the rule, everything in MODERATION. That doesn't mean "don't eat any of your favorite food because it has been labled 'BAD' or 'UNHEALTHY' by society. Goodness.
All food has SOME nutritional value, or it wouldn't be FOOD, it would be TRASH. So if you want a freaking Honey Bun, GET ONE.
The type of all or nothing thinking that this article is preaching is the same type of thinking that people with eating disorders have. I know for a fact.
SECOND; Okay, so if you know you're going to be near the vending machine day after day, and end up in the same situation, just limmit yourself to a treat or so a week from the machine, and pack some snacks for other days. That way you can have a variety of food in your diet, and most of all
BE FREE.
Food is not your enemy, your thoughts towards it can be, though.
Hope this helps,
-Audrey.

You are Lazy Girl, not hungry girl.
1 - the bags of chips in vending machines is 1oz, not 2oz much less 2.5oz. or larger. Please, some research first.
2 - A bag of Lays has 3 grams of fat, one of which is saturated. Please point to another product that has that little fat.
3 - Lays and Fritos have three, 3, ingredients TOTAL. And you can pronounce them all - corn/potato, oil, salt.
Lisa, you are a hack. At least I now know to avoid your articles - which saves me time in the future.

What is wrong with you people. To sit there and say the article is useless, way to ruin all vending machines, great now I can't eat anything is useless. Stop your whining and complaining and eat whatever you want to eat. I think the article is helpful. It's just a simple reminder to eat healthy avoid certain things from a vending machine. To cause it ruin your day/life is just assanine. Do you not have anything better to worry about? State of the economy comes to mind.

Well my advice would be not to eat before an idle activity. For instance don't eat a whole lot if you work at an office. Calories are supposed to give you energy, but a lot of Americans eat for the pure satisfaction. I still enjoy eating anything I want and use the energy from some of those high calorie foods to actually go out and do something.
