Jaysus, a Cinnabon with freakin' PECANS on it is 1100 calories?!?! Man, that's like the calories for a whole day. I'm diabetic, so does that mean I would just seize up in the middle of the food court if I had one?

I like to eat weeds, but to keep it healthy, I hardly ever put mayo on them. Just raw weeds. They are crunchy and best of all, free! You can go to any vacant lot and start grazing.

I agree with Lily- moderation is key. I get frustrated when I hear not to eat cheese or any dairy products for that matter. The grease, processed/packaged foods and huge portion sizes are the problem...not some grated cheese or a dollop of sour cream.

Good mall choices I have found: Subway (as other commenters have mentioned); Sushi! (overlooked here, but maybe it's not widely available); Juice Zone; and a salad at any fast food place with non-breaded chicken - just replace the dressing with whatever fat-free option they have.

We have a Genghis Khan Mongolian BBQ in many of our malls, which is a great option, you control the oil used to cook it, they add water sometimes, usually you have to watch the soy sauce, but all those veggies, and your choice of protein are a great way to fill up and not feel deprived.

I agree....this is good information. So, please keep negative comments to yourself. If this doesn't pertain to you, then simply disregard. But for someone like me, I have struggled with my weight my entire life and now that I eat healthy, I have lost 90 pounds and feel good about myself. I am thankful for helpful information like this.

I will say this much about the mall food...it's gross. Especially if you've worked at any of these places. Let me just say, when if comes to Cinnabon, Cinnadon't. The closer it gets to closing time, the less they cook up and the longer the ones stay out on the heating element. How do they make it look fresh? Simple...douse it in the creme and caramel and add more nuts. For all you know, those suckers can be 3...4...5 hours old...when they shouldn't be served after 2. When they throw out the calorie counts, you have to keep in mind that each person makes the dish a little differently. Drizzle more of this, more of that on, add more cheese and sauce to the pizza, more frosting on Cinnabons, more kraut and cheese and what have you on burgers. The calorie and fat counts are what it should be, were your cooks measuring as they should...but in the fast food business, there's not always time to measure. I'm not saying never do it...just warning you to look at what your about to eat, ask questions, and be smart about it. Also, if you have a food allergy, it's best to always ask them to change their gloves. I know, it sounds a bit anal, but when you get working behind the counter at these places, you don't always change the gloves as often as you should, and oils and bits of certain foods can be transferred...the people working there don't always have a full understanding of how dangerous that can be to people who are very allergic to certain foods and spices, where merely the oils and such can cause a bad reaction....so they don't see the point in changing gloves until they LOOK dirty. -.-;; I'm going to food server hell for saying all this, I know...but it's best if people are aware, rather than trust the sanitary standards of those making their food.
