i think she has great ideas. it may not be THE BEST idea but it's better than eating that mcdonalds food. Heart attack on a plate these are baby steps for people STARTING to eat healthier. get over it! you hate it so much then don't do it. no one is forcing this down your throat.

Hungry Girl never states it is healthy. it just states guilt-free from fat and calories. take it for what it is.

I think hungrygirl's tips are great. I eat fruit and healthy stuff but if you are overweight you know you want a little junk food once in a while. Keeping it small in quantity and low in calories is a great hep to me.

I like the hungry girl site. My wife started off by getting a lot of healthy hints and now the whole family loves the various healthy ideas that she gets from the site. There are some things that we would never try but you take the good with the bad

Ok, so I have fruits and veggies...when I go to the grocery store to buy them. They either run out or go bad before my next trip to the grocery store...so I'm in the mood for a snack...what to do, drive myself to the grocery store hungry? Yeah right, often I start looking in cabinets for things that sound yummy. At least the author gives you ideas for better alternatives. I found a pretty good substitue for sweet...a fruit strip (Pomegranate) from Target by its Archer Farms brand. Think of it as a fruit roll up but not rolled up and fancy and more unique flavors. They are individually wrapped so they can hang out in cabinets, purses, office drawers for a quick snack. It is 45 calories and no fat or added sugars...just natural sugars found in the fruit. Just an idea for another snack.
