Just when you thought the whole portion-control craze couldn't get any crazier... Check out the latest snacks on the market: They have only 80 calories each! Then look at what HG's whipped up -- a TOP ATE of cute 80-calorie snacks you can easily make at home!

 
Itty Packs - These adorable new offerings from Nabisco come in a slew of varieties with only 80 calories and 2 to 3.5 g fat per pack. Look for Barnum's Animals Crackers in Choco and Original, Mini Nilla Wafers, Mini Teddy Honey Grahams, Mini Honey Maid Bees, and Mini Smilin' Ritz. There are also Mini Cheese Nips, which have 90 calories per pack (those rebels!). They're all perfect for those times when you wanna kick a mini-craving for something crunchy and delicious!
 
The Skinny Cow Skinny Dippers - Like many ice cream brands, Skinny Cow has 100-calorie options (like their giant fudge bars ... mmmmm!). But these chocolate-dipped ice cream bars (which come in vanilla, caramel, and mint) are perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth for just 80 calories. Luna Minis - Luna recently developed 80-calorie versions of their tasty, protein-packed bars.     I definetely have to try those skinny dippers now!!! But I liked the idea of dipping strawberries in the JELL-O sugar-free chocolate pudding snack. Why didn't I think of that before. Good idea!!!

    Thank you Hungry Girl! I am excited to try your 80 Calorie snack ideas. Most of these little are great, but not made with fresh real food, just chemicals such as peservatives and fake sugars. The best way for weight loss is to eat the real stuff.

    The Skinny Dippers are a great sweet tooth fix but they are not very flavorful...just sweet and the taste of the wooden stick The pudding and strawberries have much more flavor

    All of the itty packs are made with partially hydrogenated vegetable oil -- very very bad for you...and the skinny dippers are $5.50 a box!!

    This is all about control. The Snack Co's absolutely LOVE this! Now they can charge you more money for less product in return, albeit it's packaged nicely. How about just buying bulk amounts and making the tiny calorie portions yourself?

    Re: sixtymillionpieces Because all these 100 calorie packs are reformulated versions of their original counterparts. You make the 100 calorie portions yourself and, assuming there are matching product to buy, you will end up with less than you would buying the 100c packs. Take a closer look at them before you make assumptions. If you knew how much most snacks cost per pound and how much you pay for them, you wouldn't be complaining about 100 calorie packs.

    I dont understand why people read these and criticize.Its the same thing topic after topic.Chemicals in food,its just advertising a certain company,why not just do this or that,how can you recommend these bad foods.I dont understand why they look in the first place.They know what she says,and covers.If you object to what she says wouldnt logic dictate you just dont open the article? Or maybe some of us have no problem eating lower calorie things like this.I think its funny in a way.People complain that you should just eat less etc and you wouldnt be fat.When people do look for things to TRY,to try to lose and feel better or fit into what society thinks is acceptable weight wise you then get criticized that you shouldnt eat this,you should do this,do that.No thought that maybe criticism is one of the things that made them big in the first place.If you dont like what she writes just dont look.If we want a nutritionist opinion we would call our dr.I know I do not speak for everyone but I do enjoy hints now and then and read the comments for other ideas not constant criticisms of the same things from the same people.

    i have the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches. i think they might be like 120 calories or something, but they are the same size as any other you would buy and taste just as good. I recommend the mint kind or the peanut butter chocolate (those have 150 BUT STILL!!)

    Articles like this make me laugh. It makes me think of a comedy sketch where the miracle diet food in question has no sugar, no calories, no fat, no nothing (because it is really made of air).

    Hungry girl show your face please. this comes across like the Betty Crocker ruse. Everything shown is as one blogger said loaded with chemicals and unnatural. What a shame to waste peoplle's time with such garbage. Totally a waste of packaging. Did you know that the box your cereal comes in cost the manufacturer 3 times the amount of the cereal manufacturing including labels. I cut $200 of expense out of my budget by buying natural and avoiding 'inexpensive' fast food places. I'm healthier and not hungry constantly anymore. What a concept! Hard to package common sense, though!

    I hear you misfitfan. I think some of these are great ideas. I personally don't like the taste of artificial sweeteners, but my mom's diabetic, and she's used to them. She might definitely find some of these hints helpful. Some people just worry too much. If all that stuff was true, I don't know how my generation survived. I grew up eating canned veggies and sweetened cereals, drinking Hi-C, and I don't think I ever tried whole grain bread until I was an adult. My little boy is underweight. I hear some people say don't give them fruit juice or chicken nuggets, etc. He eats chicken nuggets, tater tots, hot dogs (in addition to healthier stuff like fresh fruits, veggies, whole milk, etc.) I'm happy to let him eat that stuff. It's all about personal choice. What works for one person doesn't necessarily work for everyone. I even liked some of the snack suggestions on here for myself like the apple and light caramel dip, turkey and pickles and string cheese and grapes.
