Can anyone actually back up the reasons that diet soda is bad for you with REAL science, or is this just one of those "it must be bad for you things?"

Yes, Stevia is safe for pregnant women. It comes from a South American plant. They just juice the plant and make the sweetener.

why not drink water only, never cross the street, wear tissue boxes on your feet, transfuse your own blood once a day, and live in one of those plastic bubbles... jeez. now where did I leave my diet pepsi?.....

to Anna P ---try this - it's less expensive - get Pom juice in the large size, witht he handle, and put an ounce or 1.5 ounces in a large glass, add cold H20, maybe a few ice cubes. I buy the large size when it is on sale, and it lasts me more than a week. I'm trying to use this & Crystal light to get me away from the 2-3 diet coke's I used to consume every night. It helps to have a few alternatives.

I tried the zenergize vitamin-infused drink tabs, thinking was going to get something like a fizzie from when I was a kid. Yes, it fizzes, but at the end of waiting a little too long for it to finish, you are left with a totally flat drink. It is not carbonated at all, and it tastes pretty bad, esp the fruit punch. It has a slightly soapy taste, and a strong vitamin smell. Do not recommend to anyone!
