Veggie patties aren't just for vegetarians anymore, people! They're a great choice for anyone who likes FOOD. Check out the best meatless burgers for every craving, courtesy of Hungry Girl...

Most Like A Real Hamburger: Boca Burgers, Original
PER SERVING (1 patty): 70 calories, 0.5g fat, 280mg sodium, 6g carbs, 4g fiber, 0g sugars, 13g protein

If it's a beef burger swap you're after, Boca's Original Burger is for you. You may be tempted by other brands touting "classic" or "meaty" flavors, even Boca's own Flame Grilled version may distract you, but trust us, this is, hands down, the BEST no-meat burger around. It's our go-to patty for every single one of our burger recipes, including our Mega MonsterBurger and, of course, our Awesome Whopper Stopper.

Most Unique: Morningstar Farms Philly Cheese Steak Burgers
PER SERVING (1 patty): 120 calories, 6g fat, 400mg sodium, 6g carbs, 3g fiber, 2g sugars, 10g protein

Ready for the most decadent meat-free burger this side of the freezer aisle? Run (don't walk) to the nearest grocery store and snag a box immediately! With real Philly cheese steak taste--complete with onions, peppers and mozzarella cheese--this burger is unlike anything else out there. Slap it on a light bun or eat it straight with a squirt of ketchup. Mmmmm...

Most Gigantic (Yet Still Guilt-Free!): Amy's Quarter-Pound Veggie Burger
PER SERVING (1 patty): 220 calories, 5g fat, 640mg sodium, 25g carbs, 6g fiber, 5g sugars, 21g protein

Face it, sometimes size matters. And whether you're going meat-free because you're a vegetarian or simply because you don't want to waste ridiculous amounts of fat on a McDonald's Quarter Pounder (16g fat just for the patty itself!), Amy's QP is a serious lifesaver. Not only is it huge, it's also hugely delicious with a slight BBQ kick. Another victorious veggie product from Amy's!

Most Veggie-Packed: Dr. Praeger's California Veggie Burgers

PER SERVING (1 burger): 110 calories, 4.5g fat, 250mg sodium, 13g carbs, 5g fiber, 2g sugars, 6g protein

Unlike some "veggie burgers" that are so stuffed with breading and beans that it makes us wonder if they forgot the veggies altogether, these patties are exploding with eight types: carrot bits, chopped string beans, sweet zucchini, and peas to name a few. These burgers are also flavor-packed and fully satisfying. But we have to issue a little HG warning: blot the oil before biting into one of these, because they tend to be pretty greasy.

I love the "boca burger" and I have to say I'm a huge fan of the "Original Garden Burger" which sadly was not listed. Anyone tried the Amy's that's listed?

I am a Boca Burger fan. I also love the Boca Crumbles; I use them in place of ground beef in a lot of stuff like spaghetti sauce. I think they are actually better in sauces instead of real beef, you don't have all the fat and grease from the beef thinning out the sauce.

Any of these would probably satisfy a burger craving during Lent.

I've tried the Dr. Praeggers black bean veggie burgers and they are pretty good, especially if you've given up meat for lent as i did.

Last time I tried, good number of Mornig Star varieties taste most real. Boca seemed a bit too soy for me. Admirable site!

MorningStar makes an awesome potabello burger and chicken strips that look and taste an awful lot like chicken. Boca also makes packs of ground "meat" that taste very much like ground meat when added to several dishes, including lasagna.

I have found that the Gardenburger Baja and Tuscany flavors are absolutely delicious. They have good size pieces of veggies and grains and not a lot of calories.

Gardenburger is at least independently owned. Watch out for Boca and Morningstar...owned by corporate hos.

You gotta be kidding. These are boiled, process, kneaded, pressed and twisted into little HAMBURGER looking things. Somehow this just seems soooo processed that it is no longer real. And they call this stuff HEALTH food?

While Morning Star, may TASTE the "best", I've got Laurie's back--they are vegetarian, but still contain eggs! Vegetarians watch out for this one, as well as any veggie burger which often contains animal ingredients, just no MEAT. Also, they are not that healthy. Suuuuuper processed and constipating with preservatives. Better than a dead animal, at least...

I tried boca burgers and thought they tasted odd. I can't believe Gardenburger didn't make it to the top of the list-it's my favorite. I'd like to try the Dr. Praegers if I can find it.

Also, I'm sorry, but for the veggies out there who desire a fake burger to truly taste like a real one, fake nuggets to taste like real chicken, etc, GET OVER IT! Remember why you are choosing to not eat animal products. Why is it necessary that it taste like death? I just don't get this one.
