I'm definitely going to try the slaw. I love the Newman's low fat Sesame Ginger Dressing. I had to buy myself a bottle after trying it on the Asian Chicken Salad at McD's.

You can also use applesauce, plain fat free yogurt or the pumpkin in place of oil & eggs when trying to cut fat & calories. Even my husband can't rtell a lot of the time.

If you're going to use pumpkin in lieu of eggs in baking generally, you should add a little baking soda to so it will rise. You can also use bananas or applesauce.

I have used the 15 oz. canned pumpkin and a box of spice cake mix (no eggs or oil) just a table spoon or two of water. These muffins were great, the kids loved them.

The brownie muffins are very similar to what I found at another site, except I use lowfat brownie mix and 1 can of great northern beans (yes beans!) pureed in the blender. Put in muffin pan and bake at 350 deg for 20 minutes. They are wonderful and full of fiber.

We cored the apples and dropped a few raisins in. They baked up plump and fabulous, sprinkled a bit of cinnamon and nutmeg on them. More ingredients but also more tasty and added some other nutrients like iron and natural sweetness!

Make cookies with can of pumpkin and a spice cake mix. Throw in a 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips bake 350 - 15 minutes. I was told at WW that they are 1 pt per cookie

I am a 55 yo GUY., Hope that won't disqualify me from this site. I just need some good ideas to help me loose this extra 25 pounds and these receipts just might do it.

i have made cookies with spice cake mix, 1 can of pumpkin, and a little added nutmeg and cinnamon with a couple tablespoons full of water. All you do is drop by teaspoons full a on greased/sprayed cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees Farenheit for 10 to 12 minutes. They are delicious and only 1 point on the WW food plan!!

The frozen choices seem delicious, but the very high sodium is not good for any weight control program! One would have to drink gallons of water to flush out all the bad salt!

Please stop telling people that these foods are "guilt free". That makes people think that this food is actually healthy and it's not. Perhaps you mean guilt free in the way that you feel no guilt for polluting your body with garbage and encouraging others to do the same for your own personal profit.
Shame on you hungry girl, you are what's wrong with this country.

I don't see how using a can of pure pumpkin instead of oil and egg is polluting my body.
I haven't made the muffins but I have used a regular chocolate cake mix, substituting pumpkin for the egg and oil, and added about half a cup of decaf coffee (you can't really taste it but it brings out the chocolate flavor!)
Hungry Girl is the best thing that's happened to weightloss since WW! Keep up the GREAT work!!

Love, love, love your site. I started WW in Jan. and have gotten so many good tips. Wish you would put WW points on EVERYTHING!! The sweet and sassy slaw is GREAT. Fixed it with teriyaki-marinaded chicken strips threaded on skewers and grilled! I have made it three times since you first posted it on your site! Will try the brownies and apples, too.

Design88 & MistressKitten - Why is it any harm to you if this lady is trying to help people lose weight?
Sad fact of life - most of the illness & disease in the US & UK is self-inflicted due to the way we live today. The number one killer in both countries is obesity so that must be what we focus in first.
Finally, I - like many other people - work a 50 hr plus week and I also have children so I welcome any short-cuts or fast food substitutes I can get, whilst ensuring that my kids eat 'proper' healthy food.
You two don't like Hungry Girl? Then go away ... nobody's forcing you to read it
