I agree with everyone that says these foods are garbage. The only one I could consume from this list is probobly the soup but even the sodium in that is insane. Low-calorie does not mean low everything else. Make a low fat dip from scratch and cut up some veggies...now that's a snack!

Why not chose something fresh and healthy such as fruit or vegggies and be able to eat more of a good thing and be satisfied instead of starving yourself. Take a walk or do a little bit of exercise and you would be amazed what little bit will go a long way. It works, trust me.

The sodium is rediculous in these items. I am not overweight and am young and have been diagoned with high blood pressure. This crap that masquerades as "good for you" is just that CRAP! Whatever happened to eating a piece of fruit or something not processed? Seriously, if I need a snack, a handful of grape tomatoes and some cottage cheese fits the bill. Added bonus, I can prononce what is in those items and it actually came off the food pyramid in the "good for you" area.

If it sounds too good to be true...... maybe I would eat some of these as a treat on special occasions instead of the strait up bad stuff, but whoever posted they will make you fat if eaten on a regular basis is right !

I agree with those Fiber One Bars. I eat them as my breakfast all the time. They are awesome, and you feel so full after you eat one. Both flavors are awesome, but I really love the chocolate. Gets that chocolate craving out of the way.

People chill. If you don't want to eat it don't. One serving of any of the above will not kill or make anyone fat. If people stick to the serving size then this is a fine snack for an active adult. The problem is when people eat the whole damn box. My only beef with hungry girl is she only looks at the calorie count. Calories are not everything.

So silly!! I thought this site would tout the benefits of frozen vegetables and fruits, as well as such sensible products as fat-free tofu, Splenda, and egg whites. I NEVER eat CANNED foods, except for tomato sauces. Frozens are prepared with no salt added---frozen veggies, that is! Prepared dinners and snacks? Never touch them!!

I am processed-food, preservative conscious...to a point! I simply can not eat soup with 840 mg. of sodium as my blood pressure is still higher than it should be on medication and losing weight and B/P meds. However, for an occasional treat or when traveling on the road, many of these are GREAT suggestions. The 100 calories snack packs are a convenient way to have a mental idea without cheating of how many calories outside of your meals you are eating. I've dropped over 30 lbs. the past year just cutting out the weekly milkshake, occasional chips or cookie that I was allowing myself. And for the record...nuts are way full of fat and should be used sparingly. Also, I've dropped my cholesterol from 219 to 206. It's all about finding treats you like without too much fat/sodium and lots of fresh fruits, veggis and homemade soups and using meat as an additive. Wish you all the best in your weight control endeavors!

People here are certainly missing the point. She's not saying eat 100 calorie cupcakes instead of apples. She's saying eat those instead of full-calorie cupcakes. The point of these articles are not how to eat healthy, they are about how to substitute the really bad stuff most normal people eat with things that aren't as bad for us. Other writers compose articles about fruits and veggies and whatnot... this is a different kind of article. Most normal people cannot 100% cut out desserts and certain snacks from their diets. Someone said they eat plain tofu with a little soy sauce... how many people are doing this? If people are willing to eat that, they don't need the advice in these columns. Articles like this are mainly for two types of people: either you are really overweight and need to substitute eating an entire cake or something. The other type is people like me who are at a decent weight but could afford to lose 5 or 10 pounds, or just can't gain any more weight. Then advice like this is great. Take the ice cream she promoted for example: if you're celebrating a b-day or something, are you going to eat tofu or ice cream? At least using HG's advice you can make the best dessert choice possible. A little perspective here people... the reason so many diets fail is b/c they are so unrealistic. How many people are going to avoid buying processed foods, and never go up the aisles in the middle of a grocery store?

I think a lot of people are being negative, self-righteous food police here. These are treats, people. I highly doubt that the woman is suggesting that you forgo your healthy dinner and instead have some cupcakes and a tub of ice cream. Lighten up and have a snack.

Those tofu noodles are the worst thing I've ever attempted to eat in my life. Disgusting. I love the ice cream- I think here it is Dreyer's brand.

Those 100 calorie cupcakes any kind of snack like that is just a TREAT..NOT FOR EVERYDAY EATING. NOW if you eat those everyday..it is pointless. If you want a treat eat a 100 calorie snack ..better then original which has more calories, fat and carbs.

Only ONE item on the list is a health-food. Everything else pretty much kills with all the toxic, synthetic ingredients. Thanks for nothing.

To each his/her own. If you all are such healthy eating gurus, why aren't you off on some raw foods website or visiting some tree-hugging convention? If eating organic would make me as crabby and judgemental as some of you people, I'll pass!

Suggestion for Yahoo: Start putting a disclaimer in these articles that a natural, balanced diet and exercise are always good weight-loss alternatives. Maybe then people wouldn't feel the need to do it over and over again themselves in the comments.

This article is ridiculous! A LOT of these FOODS? are full of empty FAT ca;ories and useless carbs..and are more deserts than real foods. Stick to bacon, eggs, toast, oj, pancakes, waffles, and french toast and you'll be a lot healthier than people who eat these fast fat foods. Very little good protein and mostly FAT! VERY POOR ARTICLE...NO FACTS!!

How exactly were these trashy, inedible products ever deemed "guilt-free" by HG? Is HG actually accepting bribes or something now? In fact, the companies producing these "foods" have been known by the general public to be base, immoral, and money-grubbing for the last several decades. What is going on here?!

We're all gonna die of something, so to hell with the sodium content. Just watch it like you're doing your calories. I appreciate HG for taking the time to get us all a little healthier and skinnier, so get off her back. Some folks will find a problem with EVERYTHING. For God's sake, get a life!

What a bunch of whiners. FYI- My DOCTOR recommended the fiber bars due to medical issues I was having. Anything can be eaten in moderation. I had, dare I say it, pizza last night, but I went to the gym for 2 1/2 hours before hand.

Agree with everyone else here. This is junk food. First off, I don't understand why low calorie=good. You need calories to live. 60 calorie soup? That is not a meal. You are basically paying for a can full of water with a lot of sodium and little nutritional content. How stupid. You need to be looking at the nutritional value of your foods and searching for *fresh* foods, rather than obsessing over calories. I eat fresh fruits and veggies for snacks. I do not eat cupcakes or chips. I only eat when I'm hungry and portion my meals. And when I do eat dessert, I eat GOOD stuff, not some crappy prepackaged cupcakes. And I don't have a weight problem.
