I found some great info on saving money from home in this youtube how-to and the blog it referred to. Everything from homemade laundry detergent, mystery shopping for Longhorns, product testing at home, focus groups for Lenscrafters, economical menus, free samples from Walmart, etc., etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofWGLvtWkjM If you tried a few of the ideas in this video/blog, you would find your financial situation changing like ours has. The info is GREAT!

you know I love pasta and rice and many of the things talked about here...I love to cook...but you wackos talking about "oh you don't have to kill to eat" blah blah blah, get a grip....animals were put here for a reason, many of them to provide animal protein for us...I don't agree with abusive practices either but the bottom line is that is their purpose...I get so sick of hearing the "be kind to our furry friends" preaching their drivel...eat a variety, eat in moderation and that is health!

Hello to my fellow taurus. tuna and corn goes well with brown rice too. Fried eggs go well over rice too. Eggs are a good source of cheap protein too. $1.00 a dozen at shop-rite next week or wallmart. As for the meat eaters, if you don't care about the animals, care about your health. meat eaters have a much higher rate of cancer ,and other diseases, read prevention or look up info online

I had fresh salmon and a baked potato for dinner. Salmon was 50% off. If you shop for good buys, you will eat well. I have never owned a box of bisquick.

I agree about the cruel things we do to our animals..I don't eat meat but i can't tell someone else not to eat meat..I would however love to change the way we treat animals before we kill them..If we are the intelligent animal why are we so cruel?
