I'm amused that you think that person's serious. But I agree with the 'you ask, you pay' deal.

I agree with all but the last, why should the guy pay for it all? I stick to a firm pay-for-yourself rule. If the girl sticks around after what I consider fair-play, I know she's long-term material. If she wants to be treated as an equal, as I want to be; it only makes sense. I'm not saying I'd never treat her, I just want to know I'm getting involved with a girl that actually wants to be in an equal relationship with me.

#6, you are seriously not that naive, right? This article borders somewhere between the obvious and the just plain stupid.

These 8 things are dead on! The etiquette issues should be no-brainers. Maybe after a few dates it wouldn't seem so out-of-the-question to begin shifting toward letting her pick up some of the costs.

criminy folks, whats wrong with women asking a guy out? AND PAYING FOR THE DATE? women work nowadays, get with it!!! any woman that insists on the guy paying for the date, is too oldfashioned and is only looking for a sugar daddy.

thats true menare just as speciel as woman the woman should do things to make the girl special to it goes both ways because honestly woman are more prone to be rude or disrespectful on first date then men they shouldnt be stuck up and expect he man to do all the work and socializing

Actually, I have a date for tomorrow night, and when I mentioned going dutch he told me up front that he's paying. It's polite, and it does make us feel special. And unless you want to be alone for a long time, you might want to behave less selfish to women you're interested in or they'll probably think you're cheap or broke. Chivalry isn't dead yet.

Yes you live the dream I call it dating men asking womening and very few women ask men. Women always have a man those that don't will get one that happen in life that afact I seen homless women with men fact. Now a man can live his hole dam life and never get awomen even a date and it doesn't matter if he kind an ass rich poor fat thin bald long hair good looking ugly smart or dumb. Bottomline you can walk this earth and have no one. I'm a proven fact of that. My intrie life I always got maybe for anwser never no and never yes. So I gave up I read thesa articles all I see is a writter who ran out of topics and this is the last page better print. Off to the bars and fooling around so this article does not have merit, it lack dept. There point and it sound between tow couple but does it help. Like slow death like a tree.

Women want to be equal then pay equal. This is just like Sarah Palin. She wants to be VP then she is treated equally. You can't have it both ways.

wait till you get to be 40 and guys dont want to go on "dates" just to bed. the cheapest route possible. Cause they're all broke from paying support to their exes...if you're lucky they may buy you a drink before putting the moves on you.

guys should NEVER try to make a woman feel special... IN ANY WAY!! A date should only cost a man $40... NO MORE THAN THAT. If she uses the phone in front of you or goes to the bathroom while chatting, leave the restaurant without her. Chances are,the guy that will bang her after you finish stuffing her face is on the other line. After the date, take her straight home and leave unless she wants to go somewhere and drop her draws.

The talk about how cell phones should be off limits is refreshing to me. The women I've been out with cannot leave their cell phones alone.

Appreciate the girls saying everyone should pay 50/50. Never understood why there was such an objection to being equal.
