Often, it's cool personal touches that make a gathering unforgettable. Put more you into your parties with customized accessories that will have guests buzzing -- from cocktail napkins and cookies to coasters and candies. Even if you're not the crafty type, it's easy to personalize items yourself or order them online. Here are a few inspiring ideas to transform your next bash into a one-of-a-kind affair.

* Serve up cocktails on sassy napkins imprinted with your own fun saying. Try a foreign phrase in French or Italian to add a bit of flair and "je ne sais quoi." Sites like ForYourParty.com allow you to customize a design online.
* Create coasters for a casual gathering by making color copies of favorite artwork. Take the images to the local print shop and have them laminated.
* Buy a sheet of mat board at your local art shop and cut it into small rectangles. Use rubber stamps and colored ink to make custom place cards for a dinner party. Keep the stamp design simple to avoid getting too kitschy or cutesy. You can also order personalized stamps through online sites like BlissWeddingsMarket.com.
* CustomFortuneCookies.com delivers personalized goodies to your door -- and even offers them dipped in white or dark chocolate... guests will want to skip dinner and move right to dessert!
* For all those party-circuit chocoholics, you can now get M&M's imprinted with the words of your choice. Go to mymms.com to select from a range of festive colors.
* Check out ForYourParty.com or similar online sites for an array of tasteful gift cards, ribbon, and more -- all customizable.  Colorful ribbon imprinted with a unique phrase is a simple and inexpensive way to jazz up goody bags. Or tie them around napkins to give your dinner table some punch.

Come on now...french words stamped on the napkins? If your party is truly a party who's going to remember H.S. french after a few party cocktails? "Martha! HELP! Where are the personalized touches I can create using the things found right in my kitchen junk drawer?"
